Well I was just watchin The Showbiz Show with David Spade and he was doing the segment called Why They Hate Us. He gave this episodes reason for why other countries hate the US and he pointed out the show sweet 16. My ex-girlfriend was watching that show at my house and man that show burns me. David showed one girl that got 2 brand freakin' new cars for her 16th birthday. I got 1 car about a week after my birthday. It was 1985 Pontiac Sunbird Hatchback with only 3 extra features. Aluminum wheels, A/C, and an automatic trans. (The A/C didn't work and the trans didn't work right PLUS I hate auto

Should I Go Sata For New System.
Honda_Boy replied to Honda_Boy's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
well see all i want is a single 300GB drive. so if it's a 7200rpm drive i'll see no gains in using SATA then i'm gonna get IDE. -
Need Technical Advice...fix Comp. Or Buy New?
Honda_Boy replied to slippybippy's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
it sounds like you have bad memory. SOmething is up with the memory in my old gateway. sometimes after working on it i have to rearrange the memory in order for it to work. if it doesn't wanna work the light on the monitor remains yellow unitl i get the memory sticks in the right order for it to work (that order changes at random it's really weird). SO either you need to try each stick or try different memory. -
Need Technical Advice...fix Comp. Or Buy New?
Honda_Boy replied to slippybippy's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
windows will reject the motherboard and you'll have to reinstall XP and call M$ to get your activation code. No matter which way you go it's gonna be a pain. Either your wallet or time is gonna take a hit. I'd say grab a new mobo and a cheap video card or keep the mobo you just bought and buy something along the lines of a GeForce MX 4000 or lower. -
I was just browsing newegg seeing what I could build on a similar budget my bro's PC was back in 2000 (just so happened to be $2000) and I was look in at hard drives. Well I'm only gonna get 1 and it's probably gonna be a 300GB. Now it seems there is trouble havin' SATA drives as your primary drive and that not many of them last. If I'm only gonna use one then should I stick to IDE?

I did basically the same thing a while back only i bought it for me. I bought off my then girlfriend for $100, a Compaq Presario 6433US with a Compaq 7550 Monitor, Cheapo Compaq Keyboard and mouse, and JBL Platinum speakers that hook to the sides of the monitor and they sound good too. It had an Athlon XP 2600+ on a, made for Compaq, Asus mobo with a VIA KM266 Chipset, 512MB of PC2100 RAM, an 80GB Western Digital Hard drive (according to HP/Compaq's website it shoulda had a 160B but this computer has had history of trouble mostly user related I'm sure), a floppy, a 16X DVD-ROM, and a CD-RW(not

actually those stop codes he gave are enough I just can't remeber the website that tells you what each means. I'm sure someone else knows the site.

there were extremly easy to use editing options along with more professional type stuff such as equilizer that operated exactly like the new tape deck's equalizer does and just other things. Plus just overall easier to use interface for the lesstechnologically inclined people for when I wasn't there. Plus it seemed to have a GUI more geared for higher performing systems than an 800MHz PIII. Audactiy was a lot simpler and less demanding. this old computer had trouble dealing wiht windows media 9. 7 though it handled ok but still not well. (No matter what you use though that old computer was alw

Honda_Boy replied to Str8PlayinU's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP

Sporadic Lag Issues While Playing Games
Honda_Boy replied to Str8PlayinU's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
playing on WiFi does that. My bedroom PC just lags out of nowhere every few minutes when playing games online (only ones I've tried were CS:CZ and DoD). Try playing hard wired and see if that don't fix it. I only play online on my hard wired PC for 2 reasons, wireless sucks for games and the hardwired PC is better in all aspects anyway. -
where ever you go since you are fifteen you'll probably have to have a jonit account with one of your parents. it can be set up as a student account and be free unitl you leave college. At least thats how mine works at F&M. Mine's a joint with my mom so she has access to it too and the account is free until i leave college, which is 4 years off.
