    Not Subscribed to any anymore cause I quit givin a crap but in the past:

    GamePro (not enough PC)

    PC Gamer (dropped out of PC gaming for a while but never bothered to re-subscribe)

    Honda Tuning Magazine (actually I kinda want it again, it was actually my brother's subscription but I was the one reading them when I bought his Civic from him)

    I kinda almost wanna get Otaku USA, Newtype USA, Animerica or Anime Insider but they focus mainly on anime that's coming out or is already out in the US I think but I watch Fansubs of stuff not out here yet. Usually I've already seen or already know about what those magazines talk about. I actually get most of my anime news from another user on Honda-Tech since he updates us on stuff all the time (he gets his info from sites I can easily check but don't think to).

    was listening to a lot of 102.9 the Buzz today. Was chauffeuring my mom and granny around today in the new Civic so I didn't have any of my CD's on me. They're all in my Civic or my room. But right now I'm listening to:

    I've set a new resolution for myself. I've decide every pay day from now on, I'm going to the Sound Shop and buying a new CD to keep my collection getting so stale again. I'm so glad to have new stuff so next Friday, I believe I will pick up The Foo Fighters newest CD.

    believe it or not, the wing is stock. Civic Type R's came with stock wings while US DX Hatches, UK/EU VTi's, and JDM SiR's came with color matched spoilers, and CX's like mine had smaller black spoilers. MAN I'm itchin with anticipation on the new lip. I want it on ASAP. I hope it gets here quick.

    It's gonna take a lot of time and work (not to mention PARTS) to make it look that good though. The car pictured is a real EK9 Civic Type R.

    That's jacked up though. Why do all that BS? For me, on Fridays after 11 or so, I just drive across town (12-15 minutes) walk in, grab my check from my storage bin (for Cellphones, keys ,etc. while working) and bolt it on over to the bank (8-10 minutes, to the one I like) and deposit it then go do whatever. I use about $2.50 in Premium doing that. And on days I'm not off, I have to go back at 4. If I don't go before and do it, I'll have to wait either till the next day (banks in Grocery stores are open on Saturdays) or if I'm working all day, I have to wait till Monday to deposit it.

    Speakin of which. I need to get my shower and get ready to go get my check and buy a CD.

    Got the new lip ordered. I'm gonna be glad to have that thing swapped before Import Alliance. That CF lip has GOT to go.

    I never heard back from the guy about the motor so that's out the window. Gonna just do the maintenance on mine and if I still have it in a coupla years, I'll have the engine rebuilt.

    I guess up next, it's new JDM Fenders and JDM Sidemarkers. They're relatively cheap and I need new fenders bad. I just would have to get them painted. It'd give me a good excuse to paint my hatch.

  13. Update Won't Install

    I have the little Windows update icon on my taskbar. It asks me to install an update. OK well last install of Windows I had 3 updates that wouldn't install. OK bad install of Windows, take another crack at it. OK now I have 2 of them that won't install but related to WMP. OK Update to WMP11. Well now were down to 1 update that won't install and no matter what I try it will not install and it is severely tickin me off.

    Update in question:

    Security Update for Windows XP with Windows Media Format Runtime 9.5 and 11 (KB941569)

    This is on a system using Windows XP SP2 updated to SP3. I never had any prob like this outta SP2 with all the updates and apparently my Vista laptop didn't have any trouble either. I've hit this prob with 2 installs. I swear, even though this build has had the best hardware to date, it's been plagued with more software trouble than any of my previous builds.

    What sucks is I don't even use WMP. I use Winamp for music and Zoom Player for most Video (.avi, mp4, .mkv, .wmv, etc.) with VLC as a back up (.mov and DVD's).

    Does anyone have any clue why this won't update or know of a way to get around it? I appreciate any help. I hate havin that stupid little yellow icon in my taskbar.

    Man, how is COMODO at the top of that list. I hated it. It would not shut up. Constantly bringing up warnings anytime I opened any program that used the internet and never could remember what I said to allow. I tried Zone Alarm once too and didn't like it either but I may try again. I think I'll give that PC Tools one a shot since it's a MajorGeeks editor pick.

    I had to recently reinstall XP on my main rig for various reasons and one thing I need to install is a firewall but I am NOT going through the hell that is COMODO again. I swear COMODO is borderline retarded. It can't EVER remember the rules I set for my programs. I used to use Kerio before it's name was changed to Sunbelt Personal Firewall on my old rig and loved it but my current rig does not like the new version apparently. So any suggestions on a good free firewall? I may even stick a crowbar in my wallet and but a decent one if the recommendations are enough to convince me.

    Thanks for any help!

    * Also would like a suggestion on one Vista x64 compatible since this rig will eventually switch (I have it but my Audigy don't like it so I'm waiting for an X-Fi).

    OK, some updates to the plans:

    1. Replace CF Replica J's Racing Lip with ABS Plastic Replica EK9 Civic Type R Lip

    2. I've got a bead on a rebuilt B16A2 Long block with new gaskets, bearings, seals, timing belt and water pump for $500. Basically all the maintenance done on a essentially new motor for somewhere close to what I'd pay for all the maintenance and repairs to my current motor with 100,000 miles. I could buy this Long block for $500 then turn right back around and sell my old one for $350-400 and only spend in the end $100-150 for something that should cost MUCH more.

    And no I still haven't washed my car or taken any new pics with the new exhaust on. I'm both busy and lazy.

    Hybrids are a complete waste of money for a myriad of reasons, but I said buy a Civic. I didn't say a new one. Mine's 12 years old with a 9 year old motor. Find ya an old 93-98 or so Civic with a D16Z6, D16Y7, or D16Y8. 30+ MPG in the city if you drive em right. My old coupe with the Z6 would pull off 35 in the city on a good day. Or you could find an old 92-95 VX Hatch with the VTEC-E motor that pulls off nearly 50MPG or a 96-00 HX Coupe that pulls off 40+MPG.

    AVG 8 is still free. There is still a free e-mail scanner in it as well. I have it but my friend has reported his laptop appears slightly slower with it. My rig was already experiencing slow downs from other unknown causes so I saw no difference. My Laptop still is running the same with no slow downs with it. I like it cause now it's pretty :P

    I played with Avast once in the past and didn't like it, so I'm gonna keep rockin AVG.

    Filled up with Shell V-Power 93 today. $4.21 a gallon I think and got $33. Had to prepay cause my Debit Card had to be hot carded. But still if everything worked out right, I pulled off a wonderful 32.18 MPG on the last tank. Awesome.

    Oh and I do find Exxon evil. My car ran like crap after puttin that mess in my tank. Though I use Mobil 1 full synthetic oil.
