  1. Wait ... wut? I look on the bright side of memory lapses; Everything is new to me! Reruns on TV? Not that I'd notice. Tired ol' jokes? new to me! Ha!
  2. I told mi teechrs speling was ovrratd!
  3. Paul Thurrott's SuperSite for Windows, Windows 7 Pricing Guide Note that every body looks at the most expensive possible version when considering Windows 7 prices, but few people actually buy the full retail version off the shelf. The information was last updated on June 25th.
  4. There's no way anyone's going to investigate THIS administration, people are still in the midst of having orgasms over the power they have. Further reading on the topic shows the program was PROPOSED, not enacted. Governments PROPOSE things all the time. They run scenarios, they create contingency plans, they propose ridiculous schemes just to see if anything sticks. I'm sure there are plans on how to eliminate Iran's nuclear infrastructure, but that doesn't mean it will, or should, take place.
  5. Looks like that workaround works for the 64-bit version, why'd you go with the 32 then? Did you have to dismiss all those error dialogs like in the example given? And I can't believe I didn't think about "compatibility mode." Doh!
  6. Not sure I can support your "nothing matters, it's illegal" argument. Yes, it may be illegal, it may turn out that it's not. It's all in the details of course. The reports I've read state only that "Congress" was kept in the dark. Do they mean the Congressional intelligence committee? That would appear to be illegal. Or Congress in general? Not illegal. Personally it sounds morel like an intentional campaign to demonize Cheney (or, more accurately, MORE demonization of the e-e-e-evil Cheney). Bush has done what is generally expected of ex-presidents, he's kept his mouth shut. Attempts to cont
  7. Every "major" OS upgrade has compatibility issues, plus you've added the complication of the change from a 32 to a 64 bit system ... What version of 7 do you have? Ultimate has (or will have) an XP-compatibility mode (or something like that) where you could run anything that runs in XP. Personally, I can't wait for the rest of the world to catch up to 64-bits ...
  8. I haven't heard a bad thing about it, other than nickpicking over pricing and extremely minor GUI "features."
  9. Love the monkey one -- fits my juvenile sense of humor perfectly!
  10. Holy crap. That's some big changes there. You sound like you have a good head on your shoulders though so you shouldn't run into any insurmountable obstacles. One little bit of advice: Make sure you can afford the apartment on your own if it becomes necessary. You can't control your roommates's life, you can never know for sure that he/she will be there throughout the entire lease. You will be held liable for the entire amount if they have to leave for any reason.
  11. Good God! Let's hope "these leaders" don't agree with that! How would they rely on the theory of "plausible deniability" to avoid impeachment or prosecution if they actually HAVE been fully briefed on what's ACTUALLY going on? Nevermind, even when they HAVE been briefed, they simply deny it anyway. What a bunch of crooks.
  12. Don't forget to hold out your pinkie whilst sipping your Diet Coke.
  13. I've seen a lot of GREAT movies over the past few years, so I'd definitely disagree with you there. I'm not a big fan of the oldies, anyway (people have the benefit of hindsight, forgetting thousands upon thousands of crap movies that came out and ONLY remembering the best of the best).
  14. He did not want to be identified by name because he was committing treason? There's a surprise. Why is this even news? Congress has NEVER been fully informed. That would kind of defeat the purpose of the CIA (and all the other acronyms). I'm not sure I trust Congress anyway.
  15. No, that's the crust, carefully removed and ... well ... I don't know what they do to it. I can't quite bear to read the individual steps involved as "deconstructing" the original food looks nasty (there are step-by-step photos, but check 'em out only if you have a strong stomach).
  16. OK, it's STILL fast food, at least, it's from fast food joints, but it's so FANCY! Gourmet Fast Food Fixin's
  17. Of the ones listed (and I can't think of any unlisted ones I "need" to see): Harry Potter. That's been a really great series (though the storytelling has been all over the place, still, "Must See").
  18. I saw that as an ad on whatever site I was on and it may be the ONLY ad I EVER clicked on! HILL-LARE-EE-US.
  19. Oww! Pancake, cool avatar. Z'at you?
