The problem that I have is that there are so many people DYING of cancer and cancer related illnesses that it makes me wonder - I mean, there is a whole debate about stem cell research, and what that could mean to the medical community and people at large - However, G.W.B. does not want to fund this because of the fact that stem cells come from embryos. Cancer research needs to continue - there are way too many people dying because of it, and I have lost good friends and family members because of cancer - if we could get cancer under control, there could be alot of people that could benefit. I would suggest that you start your own HJT thread, following the HJT Instructions. Then, await a member of the staff that is a HJT Expert to assist you. One of the Experts will then anaylize the log and give you instructions. Good Luck!! Brian

Brian Here: Just my .02 Cents about logs: The best thing to do is to wait for a BT HJT expert to look at your log and make suggestions on what is needed to cure your problems. It is also adviseable to post your own HJT log in a seprate thread, because problems may be or may not be simolar and may require differing strategies to deal with them. This is why saying that you have the exact same problem as another poster may not be accurate. I would suggest the second poster start his own thread, following the HJT Instructions. Then, await a member of the staff that is a HJT Expert to assist yo

Ie 7 Lose Favorites From Ie6?
baker7 replied to wonderent's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Mark: Is it possible that the reason that favorites "disappear" is because of some "Glitch" with IE7? It seems like the information that I have researched lends creedence to the fact that the way IE7 operates and handles Favorites is significantly different then what you find in IE6 - this is because of the design of the program. There are lots of links that discuss IE7 and the differences and the problems with the browser that you can google. Chief of these is that fact that some favorites disappear after being added. This is why I am staying with IE 6 until the bugs are worked out of IE7 -

Ie 7 Lose Favorites From Ie6?
baker7 replied to wonderent's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Your Welcome Nancy! This helped me several times, because I organize my favorites in folders. Backing them up makes it simple to find and restore them. I may move this to a tutorial because if we have people who want thier favorites backed up, this would be a good tutorial to have. Brian -
Honda Boy: Congrats on making the $40!! If I knew that dilivering chicken would net me $40, I would do that too. I am glad that the trip was uneventful. I once made $50 for performing a Windows Update for a Client of mine Take Care, Brian

Nancy: First, I can tell you that you CAN save your favorites folder To do this: 1. Double Click on "My Computer" 2. Double Click on your "C: Drive" 3. Double Click on "documents and settings" 4. Double Click on your username folder 5. Find the "Favorites" folder" and double click this folder 6. The Contents of this folder will be displayed. 7. To copy it, simply click "Edit>Select All" and all of your favorites will be selected. Then with all of the favorites files selected, RIGHT CLICK within the Favorites folder and select either CUT or COPY. Cut removes favorites from the favorites -
Cool - hope it helps you Brian

Brian Here: I must agree: The people here at Besttechie ARE PROS and I appreciate EVERYTHING they do. BT's Team has saved me valuable and precious time with finding and deleting hijacks, malware and spyware problems. I try to thank everyone who helps me with a problem log. When I was posting at G4 regularly, I would get the help there. and got to know many members of the team. The HJT team members here are knowledgeable and personable also they have the skills to be able to assist those who need them. Many of them are also members of BT!! There are those however, that I have seen post at

Therock247uk: I just wanted to post a followup to this log. After scanning this machine, and talking to Jeff, I decided to bite the bullet because after tying to start kasperspy, she would not load. I spent about 5 days from the date of my pervious post to backup files, format the machine, get updates, and then began the restore process. My machine is running well, so I will ask you to close this thread, and I may ask for a HJT check in a couple days, which I will retitle. Thanks Brian

As far as I'm concered, everyone here is a friend. I haven't seen anyone yet that I would ignore, not even Suppy Mark I have to agree that everyone here is a friend........I don't ignore many.....Even in my days as an IRC Server Operator, I RARELY ignored people - If I did, it was because our rules forbade staff from trying to settle personal disputes for people (User to User) Instead, we asked them to take it to /msg, or to a private channel - That way, we were free to handle server related stuff, and maintain order on the public channels. Take Care, Brian

Brian: Just click on anyone's user name in a thread, and a drop down window appears, and you click on "add as friend" That is how I did it. Did not try it in my profile. Barb Barb: Thanks a million: must be the fact that my machine was messed up - she is running better now - I will have to go get some updates, but seems to be running better - apparently, could not click these things before, so it was not working - have added friends to my list now Brian

I have a question for you all: How does one add a "friend" to the right side of your profile? I have tried this before, and added about 7 friends, including jeff, but when I go to friends in my profile, I see "no friends to display" Is there something that users have to do to get this working?? Other users have friends listed, and I don't - just wonderd ??? Brian
