  1. Used it years ago and liked it very nice program. Thanks for that information: Will download these and prepare a CD with the proper removal tools: I have almost all of the tools necessary, so hopefully, I can remove this trojan Thanks again Brian
  2. I have the Sennheiser HD 433's They are NOT earbuds, and I think I paid something like $27-35 for them. They have pretty good response, and I use these on my Surround Sound and they do well - I also use them on my CD Player - they do a good job - I recommend these Brian
  3. The problem is that NAV does not show me what the file that was detected is, nor does it tell me where it is, so disinfection of this is impossible at this time. However, the NAV information says that the Bla block rule blocks the intrusion, but I want to eliminate the trojan entirely - Is there another program that I can use to detect it, and delete it? Or is there a way to force NAV to pick it up and show me the file name and location??? Any help would be appreciated Brian you maybe able to locate it and delete it with A- Squared http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free/ or ewido http://w
  4. Its still there as far I see it - I was just over there an hour ago - I don't think that TS at G$ is going anywhere....... Cheers Brian
  5. Good Morning folks: I got called to a clients house this past tuesday, because she was infected with spyware and adware, and because she was reporting that she was receiving block notices from an intrusion attempt by the backdoor.bla.trojan. I think I got all of the spyware/adware out of there, so the only problem is the trojan. Norton has a block rule for this badboy, and blocks it every time, which wouldn't be bad, but when you go to Symantic Security Response - Backdoor.bla.Trojan (advice) It TELLS you that you should run LiveUpdate, then run NAV and when it finds the file that is the bla.t
  6. Apparently, MS Antispyware Beta 1 is Deleting Norton Antivirus because it is a Password Stealer, according to the information below. MS Antispyware Beta 1 Detects Norton AV as password Stealer PWS.Bancos.A Link to Pws.Bancos.A information Which is why I NEVER use Norton and have not used it EVER Too Buggy and slow Brian

  10. TT75: I was using Emmanuel most times, and it seems to do it more often on Emmanuel - However, Defiant (WIN2KPRO) seems to do it sometimes too - seems to be no way to get rid of this behavior that I have seen. Brian
  11. PS2 is my choice at this time I agree with Danny Here - Whether you decide to get a PS2 or a 360 will be dependant on what you wanna do. When I had my PS1, I decided to get the PS2 because I had a lot of games that I could play on the PS2 console. I have since gotten rid of all but say 5 of these games, and think that if you have alot of Playstation and Ps2 Games, you should get a PS2, if Not, and you want to spend the money for a 360, and you want to wait for more 360's to become available, you could get the 360 - However, be advised that the 360 will apparently not play all of your XBOX c
  12. Just a quick question: Is there a way to STOP windows/ie from displaying the "No connection to the internet exists" box when you try to surf to sites? Every once and awhile I get these boxes, and I have to click "try again" to get the system to continue to the site, and I am unsure how to stop this behavior - when I do "try again, it works well, but its just annoying...... any ideas?? Brian
  13. My weather has been unseasonably warm here in VT. On Friday, Montpelier VT hit 54 degrees F. and for like a week it has rained or been warm enough so that most of the snow is gone. We have had storms where the water has pooled up or frozen solid, and we even had water in our Senior Mealsite on Tuesday last week - it was just flowing from street level, down the outside stairs and into the site - so we have had to deal with flooding and then cold temperatures - I don't even know how much snow we had, but I can tell you that if you wanna use a snowmobile, your out of luck so far - I haven't see
  14. DSL Here: LOVE it: I have Emmanuel. Defiant, Voyager2 (Playstation) and Voyager 3 (XBOX) connected via my router - Made sure that 3MB was available where I reside, and when I got the answer, I dumped cable 2 weeks later - DSL is faster, and more reliable then cable is, and I have not had one outage that I have noticed - and my PINGS are low when online playing Xbox or PS2 Brian
  15. Danny: Thanks for the information dude Good find - maybe now, Sony will be more careful and more respectful of people's machines and privacy Brian
  16. I have downloaded the MS Anti-Spyware From Microsoft and recommend it for everyone's machines. Download and keep this thing updated - I let mine scan on both Defiant and Emmanuel at 2AM and it has been a good thing. To date, it has taken care of some of the baddies, including CoolWWWSearch.WCADW and Windows.ActiveDesktop. on Emmanuel. What I had to do with these infections is to run Antispyware, have it determine that there was a problem, then reboot to safe mode with Internet, run updates for Spybot S+D 1.4, and let it scan and delete any baddies. I deleted CoolWWWSearch.WCADW using Antisp

  19. Yah, I noticed.... Makes me almost embarassed to be from the same country as he is. He must be from Winnipeg I've contacted an admin at TC's that I know well and pointed them to that post, we'll see what kind of action they take towards this person. I know for sure that they'll get a very stern PM from my friend at least, and possibly some other action, as any teacher at TC would NEVER allow that type of advice from a member. heheheh that guy has had the radish hehehhehe Thanks Dave - G4 or any place on the net that provides Tech help don't NEED that CLOWN doing crazy BS like that hhehehe
  20. Go get 'em Dave: He uses the same Username on TC firums apparently hhehehehehehehee and um - he is from *COUGH* *WHEEZE* Cana*cough*da heheheheh Brian
  21. No, B - I won't flame you - This guy is not 100% right, and he is apparently NOT 100% wrong, but when you have novices that come to a forum for advice and this guy says that he can make a machine run ("purr like a kitten") well by deleting the contents of a HJT log, and do that alone, that is rediculous - and to have this dude say that he is an A+ Certified professional that does this action daily is crazy - This guy probably won't even answer Chappy's question about his username at TC Forums, because when the admins read this half right/half wrong post, they will probably delete him from the
