I have no extra user accounts . When I start Windows XP it does not ask me to click on a user name. Apparently I've been using the "built in" administrator account on this machine. And in so doing, I've changed settings, loaded software, etc. I decided to set up a user name for myself (or others) how can I "import all the settings from the "built in" admin account into the new user name?so i want to create a new user account in the computer which have the administrator rights.

first check the speakers to the other computers. than installed the driver from the internet which support the xp service . installed the updated drivers. speaker wires are connected to the computer correctly.

try to connect the modem to the computer directly. may be there is some problem in the modem, and we are trying to reset the router. you can check all the wired cables of the router. check the power connection, power connection should not be loose. check the modem light first.is it blinking?

i did not read your whole question but it is my experience about the old version of bios. first of all put out the cmos battery from the motherboard. try to installed the windows from the boot able cd. after that the windows will installed . put in the cmos battery in the computer. set the bios as the default settings . make the cd rom as the first bootable device and the hard disk as the second device. after installing the windows ,again hard disk as the first boot able device and the cd rom as the second device.

so i need to download the vlc media player from the internet and remove the media player from the computer. but really i like the media player , this is my favorite player . i used this player for a very long time even when i purchased the computer. is there any way to resolve the problem with out needing to remove the media player. if needed i download the vlc media player and also codecc software from the internet .

may be this keyboard is not faulty. it is not connected to the computer. or the keyboard connector should be loose so try to check plug in and plug out the keyboard in the computer. after that check the keyboard drivers . missing the keyboard drivers , also creates a problem.

I was wondering how to speed up the start-up of windows xp. It used to be quite fast then recently it slowed down to a snails pace. A little info: Laptop: MSI 2.2GHz Core2Duo Intel 2G Ram 160G HD All I have done is a defrag, and cclean then a restore. Didn't seem to help. clean the keyboard keys from the air and remove the dust. than try to use it. if not worked than replace the keyboard if your keyboard is in under warranty. if you buy a new keyboard take the usb keyboard . so that you can attach the keyboard at any time . new keyboards are not costly. is this your wireless keyboard. if this is your wireless keyboard , remove the battery from the keyboard and put the new battery in the keyboard.

remove the bios battery from the motherboard. try going into safe mode with command line utility enabled. (F8 on boot up). in command console type chkdsk /f /r and enter y for yes at the prompt. wait for it to finish, it may take a while. If that doesn't solve it try typing fixmbr. If that doesn't work, manually load the operating system to boot from CD-ROM. tap F1 while rebooting. in the BIOS go to boot options. in boot options change first boot device to CD. put the CD in the tray, save and exit your settings. The comp will boot from the windows disk. follow the prompts.

download the adobe flash player and reinstalled the Firefox, if needed . update the sound drivers. delete the temp and prefetch files . reset the Firefox. so that it set as default.

Does anyone have suggestions on which media player works best(for free downloads/workability)?... my browser will suddenly stop accessing the internet a couple minutes after I watch or download videos. Its not all watched videos, for example I can watch you tube without it happening, but I was watching a newsreel today and it happened. It is all downloaded videos. What happens is after a couple minutes of downloading or watching, the download or stream will stop, and then any new page I try to access will not make any effort whatsoever to access the internet - ill press enter and within a split second the transaction info at the bottom will say done.
