  1. I am so sorry to hear that, Chuck. But being a Mom, I KNOW she's not only at peace, but she will always be by your side, keeping watch over you and your family. God Bless You and your Family

    Love,

  2. We had a record. If the count on the bags of candy is correct, 348 Goblins this year!!! Now, you have to consider that I DO live across the street from the elementary school, but this town only has 2000 residents!!!!

Matt, we get infants, too--How dumb to take a baby out in the cold night air!!! One baby was hooked on a portable oxygen tank!! I make a point to buy dum-dum lollipops and make a point to announce that I have something the baby can have!! But this year I ran out of lollipops around 7:30 and was surprised at the baby goblins out that late....so those parents scored tootsierolls.

  3. "After a time I call them (the phone works fine) and am placed on hold for as long as I could take it, I gave up and hung up (they picked up my original call quickly)."

This tells me that something is wonky with the phones in your neighborhood/city--many folks calling with the same complaint.

I too, wouldn't bother calling the cops.....at least in this small town they're pretty worthless

  4. OK, a question.....If someone has an idea for an "invention" but doesn't want to or have the knowledge/money to invent/patent/build the idea, can said person post the idea in hopes that someone ELSE runs with it?

Coming from someone who cut up and sewed velcro on the kids' training pants 20 years before Huggies Pullups came up with that idea (thus avoiding poop being dragged down to the ankles when theres an accident!) and wished someone would invent a canister vacuum with an attached hose long before someone actually invented them......

I'm always coming up with "I just wish someone would invent" ideas and would love for someone ELSE to take the ideas and run just so I can buy that idea when it's turned into a gadget! He/she can have all the headaches, glory and bigbucks, I just want the gadget! :)

  5. Yup, Sultan, that is the reason I've never bought an Ebay item, though I use the site for researching items and prices (still looking for a "guess value" on my antique tea set, just curious as to what it's worth!). I don't think this gal meant any harm since her opening bid was $1 and she hasn't had any bids yet.

And yes, I do wonder what happened to the other $20,000 with the guy they busted?? But nice to know some scammers are getting caught!
