Thanks I have always used spywareblaster,ad-aware,spybot and a2 all current and updated. Nothing comes up in any scan. My question is, in firefox I adblock the links in the box(web search results) it still pop ups only there is nothing in it. Is there some way to adblock the box itself? Also what setting do I make to stop the Help and Support page from loading when I go to safe mode?

I am using Wme and Firefox 1.0. The first question is how do I stop Help and Support file from opening when I go to safe mode? I have forgot what settings I should make. The second question is when I go to a couple of web sites I regularly visit I have noticed I am getting a popup box called "Web Search Results" with a bunch of sites in it. If I adblock the sites, the box just pops up as empty. How do I get rid of the box itself? This shows in firefox as well as IE. Thanks

I recently used "open with" to open a file and I selected word pad, by mistake, which was the wrong program. Now whenever I right click and select "open" it use's that same program. Is there a way to reset "open with" in W98se and Wme so I can select another program instead of having it open with the wrong program? Thanks.

Thanks maxdog4 for the converter program. I'll check it out later. I can convert my files using image converter or Mssnap 3. My problem is when I use the PaperPort Viewer and open a file, I can not see the whole page. Therefore I can not capture the whole page, only what is showing in the screen. If I zoom out to make the whole page appear, then I can not read it when I convert it as it is too small. So I have to copy the top half and then the bottom half. I was wondering if there is a way to get the whole page in viewer since I can't scroll or is that feature only in the paid version. I don't

I can only "save as" and when I try to open it in wordpad or notepad it is all gibberish. Right now I am working with image convertor and MWSnap 3. Thanks for replying. I'm using the viewer and I have graphic convertor from Corel. My problem is I can open the file which is text using the viewer, but when I try to change it using the graphic convertor I can't find the file. Only the folder shows and when you open it there is nothing in it.

I have some medical records from old drive that were copied using PaperPort. In transfering them to new drive, I have to use a PaperPort viewer to read them. Is there a way to change them from Max files to something else so I don't have to use the viewer to read them? Thanks

Chappy, I have noticed that some of my pictures can be viewed by just clicking on them and others won't open at all. I've installed the photo program, but not sure how to get the file in it. I pulled the Gen. file from the C drive and installed it in the Genealogy program and it looks like all the information is still intact. But where I had pictures of the people next to their names are not there. I'm still trying to figure out how this Pc Inspector works. So any advice on it and how to transfer the files would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks Chappy, PC Inspector show the folders for "My Documents" is there with everything still in it and "My Program Files" folder is still there with everything in it. I do have some lost files. But the ones I want still show. Now how do I transfer them to the master drive? Sorry to be so dumb about this O.K. I have transfered my files to the new 30 gig HDD. Thanks Dave, This is my first time doing this. So far, I think I have done good considering that when I installed W98se on the 30 gig, my cable modem went bad and I reinstalled W98se several times before I figured out what was wrong. Then the next day my router gave me problems as I was installing drivers making me think I had done something wrong. Then one stick of memory went bad. But I got the 30 gig up and running and now I am trying to work on the 13 gig. So, as I read what you have said, I need to go ahead and format the 13 gig and then "do not" install the OS.
