  1. A Florida senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he floored it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left. "Amazing," he thought as he flew down I-75, pushing the pedal even more. Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw the highway patrol behind him, blue lights flashing and siren blaring. He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, "What am I doing? I'm too old for this," and pulled over to await the Trooper's arrival. Pulling in behind him, the Trooper walked up to the

  4. Hi Joe, You said you were fine on memory, but does your Mom's comp have 1 gig of memory? You will need at least that much to play COD2 and Nick to play FEAR. By the way, you are set for a ride with Coach tomorrow, get your stuff out of Mom's car tonight! Sorry I have to work! Dad
  5. THANK YOU ALL! I must admit, I never would have found your B-day wishes, if not for my son Joe (jamaicaman) finding it. I don't think I've ever been in "Open chat" before . Anyway, it was a very nice day and I got to enjoy it over again when Joe found this thread. Take care all and I wish all of you a happy day when it's your turn!
  6. Terrorist, Thanks for the info. When I saw Joe's post, I tried changing my avatar too, to see if I could figure out the problem. I had the same problem as Joe; I was using Mozila and the avatar did not change when uploading from my computer. I made the change through photobucket and then showed Joe how to do it from there. With your info, we shouldn't need to use photobucket the next time he, or I, want a change. I'll just have to show him how to clear the cache ! Take care, Dave
  7. WHO? PS I'm jamaicaman's dad and this is a running joke between us! PSS Thanks for taking care of him on here for me. He lives with his mom and it's good to know he has a safe, friendly place to ask his tech Q's when he can't ask me.
  8. Hi Nancy, I was going to suggest walmart, find it HERE, but BubbuBobs suggestion is much cheaper. If you aren't concerned that AllofMp3.com is based in Russia (I checked them out, thought $0.02 per MB was great price) then go for it. Walmart's songs are $0.88 per song with no subscription needed. If you don't trust paying over the internet, you can go to a walmart store and buy a numbered card there. When you go to the site, just enter the number and you're on your way! Hope this helps , Dave PS. I checked Yahoo music for you, looks like a $5.00 fee per month. I don't know if they also
  9. I don't know if it's better than Audacity (I just use Audacity to record), but dBpower AMP is very good. You can find it HERE. Hope this helps , Dave
  10. X-Cannon, I can't help with first part of your post, but as far as DVD-ram goes, I Googled it for you and found THIS and THIS. Hope it helps , Dave
  11. Try HERE, Hope this helps and remember "Google is your friend!" Dave
  12. Thanks for the info, bozodog. I'll just keep checking back until it's up and running again. Dave
  13. Hi All, Does anyone know when the "Arcade" will up and running again? Or if it will be? I do hope so, I'm having "Zoo Keeper" withdrawal I know "B" said it would be back, it would just take some time, I was just wondering. Anyway, take care all and thanks in advance for any info, Dave
  14. Hi trevtech, I'm no expert and I usually don't use IE (Mozilla for me), but it could be that some "baddies" have infected your IE and start up with it. Check HERE for some things to do to clean out possible spy/adware. I would also add a-squared to the list to look for and get rid of malware, find it HERE. Also, Stinger from Mcafee for viruses, find it HERE. Also, check out this POST for some on-line scanners, which may find things that Ad-aware and Spybot might miss. Hope this helps , Dave
  15. Chappy, Was just browsing through boards and found your tip and the directions to implement it. Thanks for both, it's a great tip and the directions were very easy to understand and follow, even at 12:15 AM, EDT ! Thanks again and take care, Dave
  16. Thanks Marty for bringing this up and thanks to you Chappy for the info . I have a 110 GB HD and don't know what the %'age is set to, but if 12% is defualt, there are probably hundreds of useless restore points on it. , I will reset to Chappy's suggested 3% sometime this weekend, Thanks again!
