have you been to win update and installed directx runtime i notice you posted directx9 isnt it direcyx 9.1 which need the runtime option marty

sorry it is working but i had to go in and check the run option.it is now working . msinfo32 sys is information. marty

to use the run box and the prompt command .shouldnt go to start-run type cmd at the prompt type what ever command you need.can you get the run option you can enable it in the R-C start button properties =start menu=customisr advanced and check the run option- apply i cant seem to get any result from the command msinfo32 what is it .when your in the command prompt try help? marty

hi team are we losing members.some of the original posters arnt posting like they used to.or is ir me.we need to keep this site on focus.it is a good site and helpful i go to g4 and world start now and then but come back here.but we dont seem to be getting the membership.so it is up to us to make others are aware of the site . ive directed 2 friends here.who have nt belonged to a help board before . and they think it is great. so come on guys what can we do about it marty

i was reading an article by cherekee cheif ans he said befor you install sp2 you need to clean you sys ,temp files cookies .disk clean up .defrag.clean every thing then install sp2 marty

i have a legal copy but have it installed on two different machines.i have one on a p2 and it runs quite well. i thought you could only install it on one legal machine.actuall i intend to install linux on the p2 i used xp to see if it would run an OS . because i made the p2 my self so not all is as it seems marty

hi team just been to g4 . and i had a pm from some one ive never heard of before.asking me to click on a link.for gaming..my Q has any one else experienced this. does any one get pm's from unknown people.i wondered if the person was targetting people at will.i deleted it because im not a gamer and because i dont open pm"s from some one im not sure off. am i being over precautious or. can we strike trouble by opening pm links. perhaps im having a suspicious day thanks marty

hey i like that some thing different . when i first joined g4 i think masta matt posted a sound audio made up of microsoft applis from the windows sound sys.it was really clever.i put it on a disk but cant find it at the moment. marty

yes i agree with ghorjus it would be a handy tip to know.my its handy having chappy on this board.tips like this are hard to find solutions for.un less you know what your doing marty

you may be highjacked so it may pay to wait for some one to post and help you highjack can be a tricky operation.i suggest you install highjack this and send the log file here the the thread some will help. not sure who reads it on this board probably B WILL HELP marty

yes ram can be the cause.one bad stick can send the others over the hill as well. not sure if the make is any different i had a 100 and a 133 in the slots. and friends said it wouldnt work at the time i wasn experienced enough to know better.however i put them in and they worked fine still got them in a p2 and ile keep them there .sorry they are both 128mgs so what workds for some may not work for others good luck ghorjus. marty
