hello guys! anyone got any quick fix on this problem? i got this laptop and its webcam works OK with Vista. but with Win7 its inverted. i presume its driver issue or something but can find anything on the web. any ideas? not familiar with win7. thanks in advance!

ei guys.. im back.. and as usual with a question.. im using windows vista.. lately i have noticed that i dont have the LAN icon on my taskbar. but i can still connect to the net wirelessly. the only downside to this is that i dont have any idea wether im connected or not. my laptop is configured to automatically connect to my wireless network at home. but before it does i can see the lan icon with red <x> stating im not yet connected and then it turns to this "connected" icon. now its missing. is there anyway i can make it go back? im new to vista and havent found my way after minutes of

hey guys! ive searched some tips over the web on how to secure a wireless home network.,and there are quite a number of them. my main concern here is to prevent other people from getting logged into and using the system. are there any tips you can share? is there any way i can password protect the network, meaning they need to know the password before they can log in? i havnt seen this on the web. thanks! anymore tips would be very much appreciated. tnx, pete! good rule of thumb..i have just realized that last night. i needed to convert the file into a different format and save it into a less of a quality just to have a smaller file size and be able to get through things smoothly. i really need to have another hard drive. thanks!

yep.. but is there anything that doesnt demand much as the moviemaker? i can use another drive, but i consider it a last resort because ill be needing to buy a casing for it. dont want to spend right now... thanks for the input!

ei guys.. got another dilemma here.. just found out that my pc is not equipped to deal with the demands of Win moviemaker. im lacking memory to be able to save my work. any alternatives that you can recommend that requires minimal pc capacity? thanks!

Im back! i do hope some of you will remember my handle... also from the old techtv forum after how many YEARS! im back... of course with a question.. i need to extract some still images/pictures from a video.. does any one have any idea on how i can do this? with a freeware maybe? i've been out of the techie world for so long that im no longer updated ... ive googled already but cant come up with something... then i finally remembered this forum... hey, guys! hows it goin? been a long time again.. anyway, im just wondering if you got any idea if there is program that will allow me to type/write on a PDF file without converting it to any other file type such as Word...? im currently using Foxit Reader, which is a free software. they have a PRO version that will allow me to type on a PDF, but it is a paid version of Foxit Reader. i cant seem to find any free files to help me do it... any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks! best regards to all!

hey, guys i remember you all! i dont post that much even during TTV days,so you may not really recognize me. i have stayed quite a while here before goin sabatical, so, yeah, i agree this is the best boards since CFH-TTV days! see yah all!

ok.. well, im pretty sure you got some real specs on your pc so i wont be asking about them. like it was said, i myself dont believe that your temp isnt that hot at all. but you could try adding some fan. some mobos have slots for auxillary fans <thats how i installed mine> so you just need to find it and buy another fan.

just a thought.. probably any other programs running in the background that arent needed at all while youre playing games..?

used StarDownloader as well! no problems with it im on dial-up so i neede to use such programs from time to time. but note that i have used this a couple of years back, so im not sure wether things have changed since then.
