I would if your budget can stand it. I would also go with a DVD burner of some type. They are really cheap these days and you won't regret having one.....

If the drive is that new I would go to the manufacturers site, run their diagnostic software. If it finds anything then just ask for an RMA and get the drive replaced. I think most major drive makers offer like a 3 year warranty these days. I have had brand new drives D.O.A. so newness is really not a factor.....

I would run a diagnostic program on the HD to see if it is OK. Could be the drive is on the way out. If your drive is like a Maxtor, Seagate or whatever they have this type of software on their sites.......

Well I upgraded FireFox to 1.07 or whatever it is and now my spell checker is gone/non functioning. Anyone got one that will work with this version?.....
