guys...What should I do please help

I've updated them but when its weird when I goto device manager it says I have 10 usb ports. when infact I have only 6. The two in the front are the ones I almost always use. Heres what I see...

I am pluging the 2nd device in the same port, device manager shows nothing unusual. But I do get this pop up I click on it and get this. I try to reconnect the thumbdrive but samething happens ANY help would nice

Hi, Im having a hard time connecting 2 devices to the UBS ports. When I connect the first one it works great, however connect the second and it wont recognize it. I have XP and its usb 2. For example my iPod and a usb thumbdive.

its not getting hot...the filters are fine...I do have about3 cordless phones but none of them are causing the problem...and not errors with the drivers... It just happens random... Isnt there a program that will monitor my connection and tell me when I have lost a connection...I remember someone talking about such a program once but forget who. and what it was called.

My modem is loosing the connection after about 8 or 9 hours. Its the second time i've seen it happen. How can I fix this problem without calling my ISP? I have a SMC router connected to the modem. XP Pro

I skimmed your post... but what I gathered was that you want to burn .avi 's to DVD... You shouldnt have any problems you just drag and drop those bad boys in nero and burn...if you want to watch em on a PC..if you want to watch em on a DVD player you have to convert em...I suggest DVD Santa...If your just gonna watch em on PC or ur friend want to do that it should just burn with nero data. If I'm sounding like an idiot plz...tell me so I can stop replying to ppls posts.

In my BIOS in the video section it has the AGP at 64 mbs. when its really a 256mb does it make any difference if I change the BIOS to say 256mb??

Is there any FREE program that will allow me to minitor when I have lost internet connection when I'm not at the computer and log it. See I have a router and my cousin keeps pluging in and I beleive that he unplugs my cord from the router and want to cath him. But the thing is I'm gonna be at work most of the day so how will I know...Need a good program any ideas?

I also bought 50 of them and have used about half. The ones towards the bottom are not being picked up by the drive... I am using a DVDRW right now and its burning (finally something) so I will post back when I can confirm if it works or not. edit: Yes it works just fine. I believe you are correct DG is there any way to test this though instead of buying new DVDs? The DVDRW worked just as before.

I did that one better I formated the pc so everything was gone. And still after I installed Nero and Alcohol 120 again, same problem as before the format.

Hi I'm having trouble with my Memorex DueLayer DVD burner the model is Memorex DVD+/-DLRWL1 F16. About a week ago I was backing things up and for some odd reason after having burnt 4 or 5 DVD's it wouldn't let me burn any other DVDs with either Alcohol 120 or nero. So I formatted the computer and I'm having the same problem. It will burn CDs but not DVDs. I'm using the same media (DVDs) as I always have RiDATA generic ones. I have tried to update the drivers which I cant find. I have tried the cd which came with it no luck, I have tried connecting a different IDE cable, Changing its boot sequ

I think Aluvus you had partioned mixed with format also. But thx for the advice I will set it as a slave if it will be cooler and run faster, instead of with the USB

Why must I partion? Also which HDD should I partion. I have one wiht all my data and xp installed the other has been formated already. That needs to be partioned??

How can I set up 2 hard drives? I have one 20 GB as my master and would like the second HDD as a back up I would just hook up the IDE cable right and set it as slave in the BIOS or am I missing some steps?

I'm having problems with my phone, whenever the storm hits around here the phones all make static and you can hardly hear the other person on the line.

I know about mov to avi converters, I need a video editing program like Adobe Premier. But has to be free with no 30 day trail or limitations on it.
