I put in my SSID and wep key and the signal strength is excellent but it takes so long to aquire network address then finally fails, I've put in the right info. So what is going on? its a usb wireless adapter. I have XP and an SMC wireless router

how are sygate and tiny firewall, do they let me pick which programs I want to have access or not? if yes then I will try them, dont have time to play around with them now

Is there a nice little firewall that will tell me which programs I want or dont want to let haev internet access something like Zone Alarm but ones thats FREE, has to be able to let me choose which programs I want to let or not let have internet access, So example I open firefox and it tells me you want firefox to go on net yes or no.

Lil problem, I just got a wireless adapter and I want to instal it but, when I go to networking and try to set it up it, after I hit "enable this connection" I wont be able to use my keyboard, need some help fixing this annoying problem. I have a usb 1.1 wireless adapter. Also if I try to write down the SSID and WEP and then just paste it before my Keyboard is useless it wont connect, Whats happening??

it says "Navigate to this directory and from the command line type ./flashplayer-installer to run the installer" where is the command line? does that mean the terminal?

I'm typing this from my new Linux box , anyway I have just instaled Ubuntu 5.10 and was wondering I have a swap partion at 500 mbs, a root at 2.4 GBs thats the partion Ubuntu is on (I think) and I have about 17.5 gbs free. Where do I go to see my 17.5 GB free space? and if I download a file i.e macromedia and I double click it it wont install (yes, its for linux) also how can I get a my computer icon on the desktop so I can see all infos and see my drives i.e HDD, cdrom, floppy etc... like in XP?

checked the IDE cable it was fine, I cant get into the BIOS if I press F8/del nothing appears and I have formated it with DBAN. HELP!!

my IBM 1Ghz pc is not showing the HD I tried to install Ubuntu and it said it was there but when I reset the PC it says PXE-E61 "Media Test Failure, check cable" So I'm think that that means the HD, cause the Ubuntu install went perfect its just the Bios I think not recognizing the HD, I cant even press del or F8 wont do anything. What do you think?

Hi, I'm looking for a DV Cam that can also be used as a still camera, I needs something that I can use on the go and just hook up via USB (2.0) and maybe 4 or 5 optical zoom also one where I not have to worry about anything i.e software, registration etc... well maybe some software I have a prie rang of at MAX of $200. Can anyone help me find such a DV Cam?

I just got the PSP today and really want to surf the net on it but I can not, no matter how hard I try. I have a wireless router and I try to scan and it shows 100%, then I let it auto set and it wont work, but if I put in the P-DNS S-DNS my WEP combo, and I gave it an ip, but it says connection error this 1..... A DNS error has occurred (8041.....) I already set the prim and sec DNS's. and my router says that it connected succesfuly. I have V2.0 on the Psp. PLZZZ HELP really annoying

I wnt to http://virusscan.jotti.org/ but didn't find anything wrong with the file. Anyone know a site like virusscan.jotti.org but instead or malware I can search for trojans? Not the whole PC just the file. Went to google found nothing promising.

AVG found what it thinks is a trojen its called BASSMOD.dll, I googled it and nothing appears to come up, maybe someone can help me out and tell me what this is? Its in C:Windows\system23\BASSMOD.dll, I havent done anything different and have not yet updated to the new updates.
