I just tried an experiment on my IBM PC, thought I'd put Ubuntu 5.04 on it. It's a great distro. apt is very good, hardware detection was flawless. I'm putting my Slackware install CDs away for now. Awesome stuff.

I wonder if CUPS is installed with the default installation of iccaros. I know with Slackware you have to choose which services are initiated at start-up, CUPS being one of them.

Your linux partition is in a different file format from NTFS so Windows probably can't see it. Can you boot back into Linux as well? Congratulations on starting Linux!!

Did you install CUPS? That's an excellent printing protocol which will identify most Linux ready printers. If you installed CUPS then select that as your printing protocol, you should be able to find your printer. What distro are you using?

Cool. Glad you got it figured out. I went looking around at Mozilla's site but couldn't find the 1.0.2 installer and I had recently deleted the 1.0.2.exe installer for windows from my XP box. Maybe burn the 1.0.3 installer to CD-R for safe keeping if future versions of FF play havoc with your computer. Just a thought:-)
