Spring has been with us for over a week now. We expect maybe one more slight snow before summer... The urban legend around here is that we always get snow on the dogwood blossoms.

Good idea. I already use Flash Drives for helping others (portable aps and such) and backups. Maybe I could wangle a trade for bandwidth... the next Open Office ( v. 2.4 ) upgrade is in a week or so.

Earthlink dial-up... nuff said? Good for dial-up I suppose. Downloading an Open Office update (~100 MB) only takes me about 10 hours or so. Although I live in California, I'm still too far in the "sticks" to get anything other than satellite (which I refuse). 6-miles to the north and south of us is as close as the fibre gets (Georgetown and Placerville) up here in the Gold Country. Heard tell that AT&T may get out to us by the end of the year... but I'm very doubtful.

White hat haxors do find vulnerabilities in software often before the script kiddies can exploit them. Funny, often it's the script kiddies that have tried pernicious hax in the past that become white hatters later in life. The black hatters I'm more concerned about is governmentally sanctioned (be it ours, or your's, or their's) attackers; which probably come from the white hatter's camp of their respective country...
