My computer keeps freezing completely. No response from Ctrl + Alt + Del. I can't even turn Num Lock on and off. It just halts 100%. I have no idea why this is happening. No error logs or messages It happens at random times. No new hardware No viruses/spyware Haven't changed any settings in months.

Yes it has, it did today. No minidump, I can see hidden files and folders and even the protected system folders, and searched the whole HardDrive. nothing. Marty, yup i have checked or viruses, spyware, and all of that good stuff. 100% clean as usual =) And I haven't changed hardware in this thing for a long while now, so its not that.

Well unchecking automatic restart didn't do anything. I don't play with msconfig, so it can't be that and there is no minidump =( And there is no new hardware to cause conflicts.

I will see how this works. May be a while before i find out though. =P

For some reason my computer randomly reboots. Sometimes i go weeks without it happening, other times its daily. What happens is the computer kinda stops, then turns off then right back on like if you told windows to restart. There is nothing in the event log, computer isn't too hot, power seems to be working fine, not really sure what there is left to check =/ And it doesn't happen when im doing the same things (that i know of) It just kind of decides it wants to restart and it does. Thanks.

Is there a program that can take my mp3's and fill in missing info in ID3 Tags, make sure all of the artist names are same case, and arrange folders for them? I know im asking for lots, but i dream big =)

So, I have my website, which at this moment is nothing really. I took all the content down as I was bored with it. Now it kinda sits there doing less than it was before. I'm having a huge problem with my USB drives dropping devices, but not all devices, mostly just USB Drives. There is nothing wrong with the drives as many other of my devices work, and the drives all work on every other computer i use with no problem. So basicully what happens is I plug in my USB Drive, windows is like YO I FOUND IT! Then im like ok! Frag files, drag files, drag files. OH WAIT. I/O Error/Can't access usb drive/other assorted cannot get to errors. Not sure why it happens, it can just drops it when it feels like it.

When you donate to a charity do you prefer one that spends most possible amount of donation to the actualy help of w/e it is for. In terms of a reasonable legit charity. Not talking about the ones that use .01 on the dollar of your money for their victims.

First off, i know this is a tech support forum. And was wondering if anyone knew of automotive help forums were i could post this for a result? But since im here mine as well tell you the problem, just in case we have some geniuses in here =) So when im driving >45mph, but not always, it depends on the day. There is a whistling noise, it sounds like it might be coming from the passenger side, or from the defrost vents, but i cant be 100% sure, and im not about to check it while im driving. The funny thing is is that when my car is wet from rain, etc, it doesnt make the whistling noise,

Anyway besides just the normal WindowsXp power mangement to reduce power consumption on my laptop?

Will it still charge? I do belive it is an aftermarket, and I dont mind at all if it doesnt display, I just want it to be able charge the battery. After that, i could care less, i can do the power management on my own. And yes it runs without being plugged into the wall

just the power profile is differnt, But i dont think the battery is recharging since it is not detected =/ And that might be a problem.....

I just bought a new battery for my laptop since the old one was dead, and when I put it in the laptops boots up and all. But the computer thinks it is still running off the outlet and not the battery.... It's a gateway 400vtx Why would this happen?
