I'm also having an axle replaced cause it seems the idiot previous owner put a D16 axle on a B16 trans but he said it's cheap and the labor is nothing. All I'm paying for is the clutch work I think. The rest is an Early Christmas present. My dad was telling him that I was down in the mouth about my car. He said though the repairs are expensive, I'm going to really like how the thing drives when it's done. It should be finished either tomorrow or Friday. So I should actually be able to drive to work Friday. I'm getting right on the hatch when I have time after getting the car back. I've got a p

well I'm having to get a brand new engine mount cause the butt holes at the junkyard won't let us take the mount out of the red hatchback. $70 for a new mount plus labor................................That's not all. My clutch is destroyed. SO I didn't get that Exedy for nothing after all. God this car is costing a load. Also if I'm not mistaken, the broken mount is what broke the clutch. I hope my luck holds out and this is all that's gonna need fixing. I posted this problem on the Honda-Tech forums and they gave me a list of of things that could have broken too. Some of these folks have had

by chatter I don't mean sound though. I mean the car shakes the living crap out of you. But busted motor mount could be it huh. If that's all. HELL YEAH! No new clutch needed. Return that bad boy or sell it on eBay. I was almost sure it was the clutch cause my brother drove it to see and even my dad drove it and said it was symptoms of a bad clutch. Described it to the Mechanic and he said bad clutch. But if the engine mount is the problem then Christmas is gonna rock. For everyone else at least. My dad's truck still needed a $2100 transmission and clutch though. *BUT WAIT!!! the cltuch still

Broken Engine Mount. Crap. With the way my mom described it, it sounds like that was what was causing the chattering but I think she misheard. I believe the chattering is what broke it. I kinda doubt a broken engine mount will cause the transmission to disengage when pushing on the gas too much. Then again if that really is all that's wrong SWEEEEEETTTTTTTT!!!!!. An engine mount is only like $5-15 with a not too hefty install cost. Send that clutch back to Jeg's. But I highly doubt it. I'm still 90% sure it needs a new clutch.

I hope dad will be OK in my car today. He drove it to work so he can drive it to the Mechanic's later. First off he works across town (only 15 minutes) but the mechanic is 30 minutes away. He seemed to be able to move it fine but I'm sure his teeth are gonna rattle with as much as that car chatters on take off. I coulda driven the 96 Buick LeSabre to school today but I absolutely refuse to drive that thing. Not cause it's embarrassing or anything (which it really is) but rather I don't feel safe driving it. I'm used to driving sub-compacts with short front ends and tight turning radius and c

just shut it down and save on your power bill. Yes turning the thing on and turning it off causes thermal stress which shortens the life but the average life of a computer doing wither way is longer than its usefulness. Also leaving on all the time shortens the life of your Hard drive and fans cause those bearings will go out eventually but again, average usefulness is shorter than it's life. Only reason why I leave mine on now is cause I'm constantly downloading stuff. IF I had something faster than a 640K connection I'd probably be shutting it down more. My computer isn't shutting down for a

wow I guess nVidia has givin up on Windows 9X. The current driver for it is only 81.98. The current XP driver for anything other than an 8800 is 93.71. I'm sure you'd hate to do this but did you ever try it in IE? It might have worked. I hate IE but FF can't do it for some reason, I try IE just for the heck of it.

I can drive a manual fine and dandy but apparently I'm bad luck for them. I've got an idea on how to wire the hatch. First I'll remove the wire from the new hatch. Then I'll just run a rope through the new hatch and pull the wire out of the old hatch (still attached to the car). I'll switch the hatches out and tie the the rope the the wire and pull it through. I think I'll post pictures of what I do so ya'll can see it.

Well I attempted to put the new hatch on myself today since I'm off from work. No go. I couldn't figure it out. I can remove the old and attach the new one but the wiring for everything I can't figure out. There's no master plug to everything. My taillights have one master plug that you unplug that unplugs everything. My brother cut the wires to the new hatch when he removed it and I can't seem to find them. they must've fallen into the hatch and I can't get them out. I figured since there is no master plug I might as well try cutting my old hatch's wires and and attach the wires that way but

Well No crap. I hate that screaming and hollering, pounding and banging crap. This stuff is melodic and you have to give it to the drummer that he has some skill to able to play that precisely, that fast. Ditto on the guitarists. Their drummer does more than just "slam" his drums. He goes all over the thing and extremely quickly too. Hell even the greatest drummer in the world (or at least I think he his), Neil Pert of Rush plays like that in a few songs. Ever heard One Little Victory. The best description I've heard of DragonForce so far is my brother's. he loves them too and he says this "Th

what was awesome was the shipping charge. Only 10 bucks.

Up next, is my clutch. The disc is in the red box. I didn't feel like taking it out. Check out the free hat! Perfect fit too. Jeg's + FedEx = Awesomeness. I ordered this 16 pound booger Monday. They RULE.

how much would you want for just the motherboard? I already have an Athlon XP 3000+ 400MHz FSB version laying around and no mobo for it. and wow Zip Zoom Fly wants a lot for such an outdated processor. Goodnight my 64 3500+ cost me only $110.

what the hell's Ford gonna do anyway. They can't recall an 11 year old design. Good lord. Even if it were brand freakin new one I still think nothing should have been awarded cause the kid was being an idiot and It got him killed. I drive like an idiot from time to time like anyone but I do it in safer conditions with no one around and the most I ever do is hit 95MPH after getting off an on-ramp (doing 30 or less on the ramp of course, I enjoy life too much to slam into a wall) on a multi lane road with a 70 MPH speed limit on a straight away, never where there are curves (I've only done this

the frickin car is 11 years old. plus he was being a jackass. I feel sorry for ford. Man if someone did that in a Honda Civic no one would do anything cause it isn't an almighty SUV that can survive anything. I feel sorry for the kid but if he wasn't such a dipsh!t he'd still be alive. No matter what the hell he was driving, he coulda been killed. SUV's aren't invincible. I've seen a Civic T-bone a Trailblazer. The Civic was fixable, the Trailblazer got annihilated.

Is this an old story about macmarauder? Holy crap that kid is wicked smart. I bet he hasn't seen a score on a test lower 95.

good to see ya back man. That's a good little rig. I'd like to have it as a secondary gaming rig for holding LAN parties at my house. Just slap in a decent video card and it'd be a good gamer. It's kinda like when I paid $100 for an older used Compaq. I turned that thing into a little beast spending almost no money extra. Most of it's parts now are from my old main rig after it died. I got for $100: Compaq Presario 6433US AMD Athlon XP 2600+ 266MHz FSB VIA KM266 Chipset 512MB PC2100 RAM Integrated VIA Video and Realtek Audio 80GB Western Digital HDD 16X DVD-ROM 32x12x48x CD-RW Standard HP/Comp

screw good ride and luxury touches, I'd rather feel the road, hug corners and be as light as possible for maximum speed/acceleration. Also again at Honda-Tech, the Kills section is filled with stories and Videos of Hondas whipping newer Mustang GT's. Some are turbo D-Series others are N/A built B and K Series. And yes there are some videos to back it up.

Well next on my to do list is an Exedy Stage 1 clutch. After that I think I'm just gonna put the new hatch on red. I'll wait about painting it since the clutch is gonna eat up all my money ($307 plus shipping from Jegs then the labor cost of having it installed). Eventually I'll order a new set of fenders for this thing then a new front bumper and hood will follow up.

My B16A2 in my hatch is fairly high compression I think but I'd like to swap some higher compression B16B (Type-R) pistons in and maybe a B16B crank. None of that does me any good at the moment with my screwed clutch. I'm driving my dad's 98 Tacoma right now until I can get my hatch rolling right again. It's not a bad driving little truck. The shifter is not as easy to deal with as my coupe or hatch but it still is easy to drive for me since I've driven nothing but manual for 2 years straight (except when i had to drive my managers auto Corsica 2 different times, god I hate that car). I also k

my right headlight went out the other night on my way home from work. I had a spare in glove box. I get home. Pop the hood. grab the wiring harness and unplug it. Nothing special needed just grab it and pull. Next remove the rubber piece that keeps water out. Then move a little clip out of the way that holds the bulb in. Remove bulb and replace with new one. Clip it in, put the rubber back on and plug the wiring harness in. Done. it's the same on all civics 96-00. Mines a 96 hatch. Simplicity, I love it. PS what year car (and what model at that) and does it not take a standard H4? Never buy a

Actually Jamie is pretty cool and he gave me all 3 of their albums in MP3 format. I will not burn CD's. That really makes my brother mad (he works in the recording industry). I will eventually buy the albums so i can listen to them in my car. My current CD player doesn't have MP3 capabilities like my other one in the garage but I hate rewiring.

Happy Birthday man. I got a Honda License plate frame ready and waiting. I know how much you want one.
