well I was driving just like my dad would have. It just randomly broke. The clutch was fine but at 77,000 miles they just decided to replace it too. My old car had its original clutch, flywheel, and trans and it handled my driving for 2 years. It also handled my retard brother's driving for about 2 or 3 years.

yikes. PSU went up in flames? What brand was it? Don't under estimate some PSU's. I have an old Hipro that came in my Compaq (200W) and it powered that Compaq fine even with a GeForce FX5700 Ultra sitting in it. I stuck a 400W MGE in it when I put the 6600GT in it but it's a little wonky and I don't trust that computer to stay on over night. I do however leave my main rig on over night often for downloads and I certainly do trust the 450W Forton Saga in that bad boy. Nothing but quality components in that system, except maybe the mobo. EVGA's nForce 4 mobo's weren't really considered the great

This coming from a person with a 5 tone civic ANyway, that's not a real Mustang. Its a washed out 6 cylinder version. AKA a chick car. I drove a newer Neon about a month ago as a rental. It wasnt bad. I really like how it felt. More of a sporty feel instead of an economy car feel. (the way the steering wheels and seat was positioned) It's a project!!! I bought it with a plan of fixing it up. As for neons. Heck no. Those things are piles. We have an 03 PT Cruiser which everything that ain't body or interior, is identical to the neon and this thing is a piece. PT Cruisers and Neons are not v

HAHAHAHAHA umm does this pic display the average intelligence of Ford owners? I mean they did buy a Ford in the first place. I'm kidding with you Bubba. Some Fords are okay. Especially early Mustangs. The one in the pic however is one of my least favorites. The Focuses are alright too. It might actually be the only Domestic 4 Cylinder FWD I'd ever consider.

Graphics Card Upgrade
Honda_Boy replied to IEatHardDrives's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
That would cbe an awesome upgrade as EVGA supports overclocking and changing cooling solutions. I have twin 7600GT's that are just about on par with a single 7950GT and they handle my games pretty good. The only DX10 cards available at the moment are ridiculously expensive so I see no need for them yet. When they come out with an 8600GT then I'll get one. When I play (which I haven't gamed much at all in the last 2 months, In all 30 minutes of CS:S and an hour and half of DoD:S in those 2 months) I play games like BF2, CoD2, DoD:S and of course as IEatHardDrives knows, CS:S. I swear I'll get b -
HA!!! My car never had power steering, so it ain't there to break plus with that new engine mount and clutch, this bad boy is good for another 150,000 miles.

1. Don't speed and you won't get tickets. 2. How can you speed in a Focus anyway? 3. I've managed to do all my B16 fueled speeding without any tickets and that's without a police scanner or CB. 4. Have fun on your trip man 5. If you make your way up into Big orange country and If your in C-Town, TN and you see a good looking green EK Civic hatchback flying by........................... then you got the wrong car, that's Danny. I drive the crap box green Civic with missing side skirts and a bashed in hatch. *Note* for those of you that don't know, B16 refers to my motor. B16A2. Dual Cam VTEC mo

he may be referring to the fact that 98SE takes bloody ages to start while XP loads insanely fast. I have found that shutting down is the exact opposite. I had one machine that when I pushed shutdown it was off in less than 10 seconds literally. ALL my XP machines (and all the 98SE machines that temporarily had XP) take freakin forever to shutoff.

oh we did it in the driveway on top of two trash cans. We just left it in the basement to dry and we hung it up 1. so we wouldn't mess up the primer but we managed to do it anyway and 2. to keep the cat off of it since in the winter we let her in at night. We had this planned out. We were making sure we did a half way decent job which we did but then we went and messed it up trying to hang it up. If we woulda waited like 10 minutes we might not had that much trouble since the frickin can says "dries in 10 minutes"

Here's my laptop's newest background. I'm really big into EK body Civic Type R's and other civics of the like

Actually now that I think about it. I did install XP Home SP2 on that same Gateway I had ME and 98SE on. I did a fresh install and for the 30 days it was on there, nothing but smooth sailing. Now it's back to 98SE but since it is hardly ever on and is only used for playing Mega Solitaire by my mom, it'll run fine for a long time. I'm amazed my freind hasn't managed to screw up the eMachine I rebuilt and gave to him. I put some new parts and 98SE on that beast almost a year ago and he says it still runs OK. About a 7 year old machine too. I also had XP Home SP2 on it too before giving it to him

So here's the new hatch hanging up in the basement/garage The side that ain't getting done The side that is Where we screwed it up (newspaper fell over on it) The best shot I could of all that's getting painted Where it is perfect I took the best shots I could with the space that's in the basement. I'm gonna try to get my dad to help me with this thing a little more today.

Well XP has to have been the OS I've had the least trouble from Windows wise. When I built my first computer 2 years ago I picked up XP Home SP2 OEM for it. Installed it, updated, installed all my games and all my crap, ran perfectly for a year and a half. I had to reinstall 98SE and ME on a regular basis. My old gateway cam with ME. I reinstalled it once every month or 2 and when I dropped it to 98SE yes it did work better but I still had to reinstall it ever 3-5 months. Only reason I ever had to install XP again was when I blew up that first self built computer. Fried the motherboard so i ju

Scanning And Computer Lifespan
Honda_Boy replied to ashwin's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
if it's any consolation, I have two 9 year old Seagates still working and two 5 year old WD's still rockin. Though neither of the Seagates are used anymore due to the large amount of higher capacity drives I have accumulated recently. They were both used a LONG time though with regular scans and what not (bout 5 to 6 years). Don't worry about the life of the drive. As long as it is a good drive, it'll be replaced before it dies. You'll have a need for a larger capacity drive or you'll get a new computer before it's life is up. This reminds me, I got a 40GB drive I just acquired that I need to -
$$$$$$$ I have no money. Plus we are only doing the visible part outside the hatch. It's only gonna cost me about $25 to do. Also, take a look at the job a previous owner did trying to color match the front bumper. Sucky.

by the way, I got the primer from O'Reilly's instead of NAPA cause they were closed today. P.S. I gots a new sig. both pic and words.

Well, my brother and I have started painting the hatch ourselves. It's kinda fun. Lucky I found a power sander to speed things up a little. It's gonna take a few days to finish since he works at Mercedes Benz up in another town every weekday while I have go to college and work most of the week. Thursday maybe my dad and I will continue it and Saturday or Sunday my brother and I will continue/finish it. Then we'll try to put it back together, put the old hatch's lock in it (which is surprisingly easy to do), bolt it on, run the wire through it, and put the panels all back in it. Should look rea

most burning programs automatically convert them if you specify to burn an audio CD. When burning an MP3 CD, say like how I do so I can have multiple CD's worth of songs on one MP3 CD to listen to on my MP3 capable car CD Player (so I don't have to change discs), you tell it to burn a Data disc.

Well I shined up my car all pretty and nice today. Sort of. I pulled it into the garage and got a bucket of warm water and went to work. Cleaned up my windows and wheels. They were filthy. The car itself wasn't that nasty but it still wasn't none to clean either. The hatch and rear bumper were obviously filthy. 4-5 inch tip muffler, it's gonna spew some crap. I rolled back out and into it's parking spot and grabbed some spray on, no wipe, tire shine and froze my butt off sprayin it on in 20 degree weather. Them wheels and tires are shinin bright now. Hatch still looks like crap though. I'm thi

O got tired of my RSX background. So I got a Civic Type R background now. I'm trying to find a different CTR background for my Lappy cause it to has a Honda Tuning Magazine RSX on it. It's just it's red and has a gold 01-03 Civic coupe in the background. So here's my new one on my gaming rig.

They just started up campus wide wireless access today and it freaking rocks. Just felt like telling y'all. Now I can surf anywhere anytime in school. I don't have to sit in the library to get wireless now. In fact I'm sitting in my PreCal class. right now. It hasn't started yet but this wireless access has killed the boredom waiting for class. Well that's all I had to say. Having a WiFi enabled laptop rocks too.

I have cable through the power/water company out here (www.cpws.com) and well since I moved my modem, router, and ENTIRE PC SETUP up stairs (to my room ) I haven't had any problems. At one point when it was downstairs my speed was so pathetic 28.8K seemed to beat it (not really but it was still crawling along). I couldn't stand it. I even called their folks and they didn't do a dern thing. They said they send someone out to check it out and never did. Luckily I had the genius idea of moving the modem from the "good" line (we had a line installed specifically for internet cause supposedly it

YAY!!!! I got my car back and it's doing great. My old clutch. Shattered. Man it feels like when I first got this car again. The clutch is stiff and it takes some leg power to hold it down. I'll get used to it though. New engine mount is holdin the B16 in place and doin fine. Turn out it had the right axle but the differential my mechanic says is real loose. He says it'll be fine as long as I don't go frickin crazy in it. He's putting a LSD (Limited Slip Differential) in his project 99 Civic Si (same as what my motor came out of) and he said he'd give me his stock one when he gets it swapped o
