actually I know what the RealTek has and I found a driver for it but of course, installing anything in Linux that would normally be just a few mouse clicks in Windows, is a monstrous pain. I thought Kubuntu and Ubuntu were supposed to have installers in them. That's why I downloaded it. I'm bout to just say forget it. I think I'm havin more trouble with Kubuntu than FC4.

This is Random but a friend has a cat (the animal) that is 23 years old. Still just as playful as my 6 year old cat. Anywho. Since I don't have a job right now and class is over until the summer sessions start on the 29th, my car hasn't been movin much. My bank acocunt is almost empty cause of insurance. I need to hurry up and get that gauge cluster sold.

Well one's RealTek and the Other is 3com. I figured it'd automatically be able to use both since the RealTek is, well... it's a RealTek, and the 3com is 7 years old.

I finally got Kubuntu 7.04 up and running but I can't get my network card to work in it. The motherboard in this ting is one of those rare ones that doesn't have built in Ethernet. I tried 2 different cards. I opened up the system info thing and it says there are no Network Interface devices installed. I tried checking the thing that said PCI devices and it shows it's installed but it doesn't recognize it as a network card. Wassup here. I know that way back in the day when I still used FC4 on my old Gateway, it recognized the card and it worked immediately. How come this newer release won't se

So I have a few extra computers layin around (a grand total of 7 computers in my room, 5 functional, 2 used regularly, one I'm taking else where, one that's gonna be my new Linux box, and one not worth using due to it's age). I decided since Windows 98se Keeps going sour on the computer that was at my Granny's that I would fix it. Well I happened to acquire an older HP with an XP license on it so I installed XP on it and am taking it to her house since XP Home SP2 should be far more stable. I'm taking the other one which is faster in every way but didn't have an XP license (and was barely used

Watch it on You tube. Quality sucks but at least it's legal. I'm lucky. I have downloaded more than 400 hours worth of my shows and never gotten in trouble. Maybe cause I download unlicensed anime (unlicensed in the US that is). I will admit that I have downloaded 3 licensed series but only cause there were no DVD's out yet and they don't air on TV. I heard they were good so I had to see them. Of course that is only 3 out of the 90 some odd series I've downloaded. If there are DVD's in the US though of a series I wanna watch, I buy them. How were you downloading this stuff? I normally either g

My friend has XP Media Center on her laptop and it's a monstrous pain in the butt. Constantly locks up on her. But then again it's a Dell that is usin the setup it came out of the factory with. I wouldn't let my HP laptop be like that. I wiped the HDD and immediately reinstalled windows when I got it so it wouldn't have all that HP crap on it.

This rig will never see Vista again. When my old Hard Drive failed, I installed Vista Beta 2 on a spare drive and no. Never again will this rig see it. Now when I build me a new rig with a Dual Core CPU, 2GB or more of RAM, and a GeForce 8 Series Video card then maybe. But seriously my Athlon 64 3500+ and 1GB of RAM do not like Vista. Then twin GeForce 7600GT's don't have much of a problem with it though aside from drivers.

I think I'm gonna have it worse than most people when i get older. I already have severe memory trouble now. I can't ever remember to do things or forget something someone has just told me, and I've even told stories to people 3 times before realizing I've already told it to them. Here's another bad case. The first day I met my friend TJ, he loaned me a series on DVD. That was back in January or February. I just started watching it tonight. Not only that but the 6th disc has been in my car the whole time. I keep forgetting to take it out and bring it back in.

Tonogura! I'll watch practically anything particularly if comedy is mentioned in the description. If you want a whole list of everything I have seen and am watching, oh I have it. I keep a OpenOffice document of it. Just updated it the other night which it already needs another minor tweak. Man did I ever feel dumb about that one though. I musta downloaded it in a group cause I most certainly don't remember ever downloading it. I still have a load of unwatched videos, many are the first 2 eps of series I haven't started yet. I have a lot to watch.

Ha, I'm glad the county I live doesn't do emissions tests. Others in the state do but not mine. There is absolutely no way my car could pass as it is.

I know you said make an offer but I honestly don't know what to offer for it. What would you like to get out of it. I could use an extra drive. My 250 and 80 are both gettin full and an extra 80 would be nice.

Ah, if only that 478 board worked. I could totally use it. I don't wanna buy a board that I don't know will ever work.

hey the B16 ain't called the torqueless wonder for nothing. Transmission buddy. That is the B16's secret. Oh well, that torque sure don't help the PT Cruiser. It still gets crappy gas mileage and it's slow. Man when that VTEC hits though it's all over. ( in my car that is) Naw, but it did surprise my friend that i let drive my car one time. He was like, "VTEC is all hype". He drove the car and he said, "HOLY CRAP, the steering wheel jerked". The horse power makes it a great road course and Auto-X contender since you keep it in lower gears for that stuff. It's alright for drag to cause of the

My mom gets like $0.10 off for every $100 she spends at Kroger. Too bad her PT Cruiser has the worst gas fuel mileage out of the 3 vehicles at my house. My 1996 Honda Civic Hatchback with 1999 B16A2 engine swap (1.6L DOHC VTEC high compression Honda sport motor approx 170HP 120 Tq). - Average 28-30 on 93 (close ratio 5-Spd tranny, Check Engine Light, 2200lb car) My Dad's 1998 Toyota Tacoma 2WD 4-Cyl 5-Spd Shortbed Pick-Up (2.4L DOHC low compression bullet proof Toyota truck motor 142HP 160Tq) - Average 26-28 on 87 (4200lb) My Mom's 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser 4-Spd Auto (2.4L DOHC low compression

Kon'nichi wa!!!.....wait that's Japanese. Ha, I know bits and pieces of Japanese. I can only read Japanese in Romanji (I think that is the correct term) which is just basically Japanese written using our alphabet. Ha, I have just randomly picked up computer terms and such as I went along, learnin a lot from product descriptions on Newegg and other random things from Tom's Hardware and TG Daily. Been ages since I've done any computer learnin though. Over the past 8 months or so, I've been doin major car learnin mostly cause my hatchback.

Ever have one of those moments where you feel like a total idiot? I had one not but about an hour ago. I download fansubbed anime all the time. One of the earliest series I had started downloading was only 13 eps and the subber for it was going very slow. Well there was a pretty good gap between releases. I had been waiting months for the final episode to be released. So I was randomly cruising an anime forum (which I rarely do cause honestly, they are scary. I tend to only do my anime talking at Honda-Tech). Well I just so happened to be reminded of this series so I opened my anime folder and

Wow, talk about diggin up an old thread. Yeah I'm a huge Dream Theater fan now. I have Images and Words, Metropolis Pt.2: Scenes From a Memory, and Octavarium. Metropolis Pt.1 is only one song and is part of Images and Words. Great stuff. I really like Octavarium right now.

$28 to fill the whip up. 9.1 gallons of Premium 93 Octane at $3.07.
-
of course gas prices jump when the whip is runnin low. Dang it. Time for a another painful jobless $30 fill up of 93. e-85 would destroy my motor. Man 89 would mess it up. Premium only. Requires at least 91. I'm glad it's all 93 out here cause of those single pump for all fuels deal goin on. It means I probably get about half gallon or more of whatever the last person got (which is probably 87). That extra boost in octane makes up for it.

My dad sent me this and I figured I'd share. I OWE MY MOTHER: 1. My mother taught me TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE. "If you're going to kill each other, do it outside. I just finished cleaning." 2. My mother taught me RELIGION. "You better pray that this will come out of the carpet." 3. My mother taught me about TIME TRAVEL. "If you don't straighten up, I'm going to knock you into the middle of next week!" 4. My mother taught me LOGIC. " Because I said so, that's why." 5. My mother taught me MORE LOGIC. "If you fall out of that swing and break your neck, you're not going to the store with me."

My dad told me that if GreyDel does a good job and when I get a new job, he'll loan me the money to have GreyDel paint the whole car. . .. ... .... Too bad the whole front end needs to replaced pretty much. I'm waitin till I can get the EK4 SiR conversion kit before I paint the car. If ya'll have ever wondered what a 96-98 Civic SiR looked like then here's some pics of what I'm trying to create. Little drawn version that really helps you get a good look And an actual picture with a lot of the options, like fog lights, lip, gold emblems, and probably power windows (which has never been availab

HA!!!! that is funny as the bad place. Haven't been there or watched anything on their channel in about a year. I've kinda boycotted them since the little incident and I boycotted watching that channel since they destroyed all my favorite shows from TechTV. Plus, since me getting my hatchback and getting really big into anime, my primary focus has shifted. I've been workin on my car knowledge and watchin anime instead. Though I'm gettin back into the tech stuff. I've got games on my PC again and I'm doin PC repair free lance every now and then. Just helped my friend and her dad today. Dell shi
