Well, my laptop was deemed unrepairable and they did all the stuff for free. It cost me $5 to get my notes off the hard drive though. Normally they charge $90 to recover all data but that's normally cause it's 80GB worth of crap. All I wanted was about 5-6MB of OpenOffice.org/Word documents so they only charged me for the CD. Well, now I have a new laptop to replace it. I went from HP Pavilion with a Sempron 2800+, 512MB of RAM, a 40GB HDD, and XP Home SP2 to a Compaq Presario with a Celeron 440, 1.5GB of RAM, an 80GB HDD, and Vista Home Basic. All for $425. It was bought from a Best Buy 3 mon

Ok, my car just received some maintenance . It's got brand new Wagner Rotors and Wagner ThermoQuiet Brake pads. Had fun with is too. First I forget to get Stop Squeal for the brakes so I had to go to Advance and get some. Well, I get that and my brother gets started on the brake removal. I open up the new rotor and hand it to him and he puts it up to the car........Right lug pattern, wrong size. The idiot and O'Reilly Auto Parts gave me EX rotors instead of CX/DX/HX rotors. I told him time after time, CX brakes, same as DX brakes, HATCHBACK!!!! He still got it wrong. At least I got a friend an

Installing Other Languages On Xp Home Sp2
Honda_Boy replied to Honda_Boy's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Thanks guys!!! -
How many flies does it take to screw in a light bulb? Just 2 but I have no idea how they got in there.

How do you install other languages, specifically Japanese. I visit different sites that often have Japanese in them and I watch some anime that has subtitles that aren't embedded in the video so during the Karaoke the Japanese version (It has Romanji Karaoke, English translation, and then the Kanji/Hirigana Karaoke) just shows up as boxes. I hate seeing question marks and boxes, the question marks confuse me, some one made a replay to me on a forum and some of it was question marks and I didn't know it was Kanji. For some reason the other languages didn't install on my desktop but they did on

Apevia (Formerly known as Aspire) cases are great. I have an older X-Plorer Case that's still branded Aspire. I got it just before they switched names. Many of their cases are still flashy though. They make good, solid cases and many like the X-Navigator have plenty of room. I'd search newegg and pick some of the good ones out but something is wrong with their site and its giving 0 results on any search.

oh boy, i may be changin it again. i found a new site for wallpapers that has no sign up required and unlimited downloads. It calls itself a wallpaper image board but it's solely for anime wallpapers. So many to choose from, so little time.

OK, you all know I have triple monitors. This screenshot I just decided to enable SLI and did a single screen screenshot. The wallpaper is from Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu. The FMP series is one of my favorites. The first season was comedy and action (mostly action) but the second season, Fumoffu, was purely comedy. Then The Second Raid went back to action, as if Fumoffu never happened.

I don't know what you are talkin about. Half of my musical interest came from my parents. Then again they seem to hate the other half (The prog metal, Euro-beat, and Jpop/rock). I got liking rock, alternative, grunge, and metal from the 60's-90's (Rush, Led Zepplin, The Who, AC/DC, Nirvana etc.) and similar sounding things (such as Poets of the Fall, a more recent band from Finland) from them. My taste for progressive metal (Pagan's Mind, Queensryche, Dream Theater, etc.) came from my brother. He introduced me to all of that. The Jpop/Jrock and Euro-beat/Dance/Trance or whatever just came outt

well, we are gettin a new $3800 unit installed tomorrow. I have to spend one more night at my granny's. No internet but I took one of my towers down there so i could watch my anime and play a few single player games. Me and my dad are at home at the moment cleanin out the garage so the guys can have room to work. Today my commute to school was 40 minutes as opposed to the normal 7 minutes. That sucks. At least it's at a time that the highway there is mostly clear of commuters goin from the smaller town my granny lives in to the bigger town I live in. Currently 103.3 degrees Fahrenheit in the c

To every one with working A/C. Right now, I hate you. The damn A/C just went out at my house today. Oddly enough, the IT room, i.e. my bedroom, was the coolest room in the house for a while. It's usually the hottest. At least I can handle heat well. I can handle better than anyone else at home. I had no clue the AC was out when i got home. It's cause I'm used to living in a room that's normally 5-8 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. I nay actually like going to work tomorrow though. The A/C is newer there (much newer) and even if it went out, there's always the walk in cooler

I've met a lot of friends thanks to TennSpeed. One of my best friends I met on there. One day I made a post about something anime related and he sent me a PM askin sayin he a was a fan too and live in the same town. We met that night, drove around hung out with some people and went to another of his friend's house and watched anime all night and had a grand ole time. I've also met a lot of TennSpeed members from buying and selling stuff. I now consider 2 of them good friends cause I sold one of them some doors and the other was his girlfriend who was also a member. We spent a lot of time talki

And my car's new look, during the day, CLEAN, rolling, with people in it.

for one using the laptop means I use the houses power instead of draining my battery and I had the speakers unhooked while I was workin on it. I had the doors in pieces trying to straighten out a window and fix a lock. And no, I don't have a "system". Just Pinoneer Premier headunit with Pioneer Premier front speakers and regular Pioneer rear speakers and that's it. There is an amp in the car a previous owner put in there but it's long since been fried. Any way. I ought to be good as long as I get the data off of it. I thought I had all my notes from class backed up on my main rig but apparentl

well, the dude that runs the shop is sorta kinda my friend. I've hung out there a lot and he's cut me deals on items there a few times so maybe he'll cut a me a deal on the laptop. If it is $80, I'll consider that cheap and take it cause even with as crappy as my laptop is, it's still better than most $200 laptops on ebay. Oh and I what I meant was I thought I could always fix my own stuff. And the speakers were just JBL Platinums from my old Compaq desktop. The built in speakers are real weak on the laptop.
-
I never thought that any computer of mine would ever be in a computer repair shop. My damn laptop took a $h!# on me today while I was workin on my car. I was in the garage wrenchin on the Civic with abingdon boys school blarin from my JBL speakers hooked up to my laptop. I was havin a grand ole time wrenchin and jammin to some good JRock. Well in the middle of one of my favorite songs, the music just frickin stops. Ok what the h311. I walk over to the laptop and well it was off. I try to turn it back on to no avail. Well, I know it's more than likely something to do with the power system in th

We thought we were gonna have to call someone about our AC a week or 2 ago. It was making this horrible squealing that the whole damn neighborhood could hear but a few good punches (it sits almost 6 feet above the ground so we couldn't kick it) and it quit doing it. This unit is more than 10 years old and it's been fixed a few times but it's still going strong.

pretty cool site. Made a new sig with it's help.

there might be some gold in there...........it's probably liquid though.
