Fixed a little today. I got my Si Center Console (strut bar got messed up so i couldn't get it) so today I decided to clean it (it was kinda nasty). Went to town cleaning it, the armrest compartment was sticky and the cupholders had some crap in them plus there was just other crap on it. I thought about switching out the shift boots cause I didn't like the one that was on it (doesn't look OEM) but my CX one doesn't look much better and I didn't feel like removing and reinstalling the console again. nope it didn't work, it still rearranges my icons. Why does it keep doin this. It's annoying. I always arrange my icons a certain way and this is annoying the crap outta me. * well I cut off Align to grid and that seemed to fix it.

as I said the show in groups isn't there but auto arrange is. I've always used auto arrange in XP and never had this trouble but I'll shut it off and try.

I'm havin trouble with my Vista Laptop and it's desktop icons. Every time I restart the thing the icons get rearranged. I move them to where I want them and when I shut it down and turn it back on later, the icons are right back where they were. Why does it keep doing this and how can I stop it? wow, that lady is stupid. Back in the day when I had a 1985 Pontiac Sunbird and thought I had a blown fuse I took it to Advance and the dude grabbed a tester and walked right out to my car and tested every last fuse in the thing. Now I know how to check them myself (I've had to change a few on my hatch). It's not hard. You just pull out the fuse and look in the center and make sure the the metal piece is still in one piece. If it's melted and has a gap then it's blown. Usually there is a diagram of the fuse box that tells what fuse is what right on the cover of the box. You might wanna go to O

swing by Advance Auto and ask for a free fuse check. If they find bad fuses, get new fuses.

I asked for an Si one, that's what the receipt said, but apparently they are all the same. I got it in, me and my friend (both of us never having done this before) got it done in about 40 minutes or so. Tomorrow I plan to go to Nashville to pick up an OEM 99-00 Civic Si center console (has an armrest and my console is busted up and missing a few things) and an OEM 99 Si Strut bar. $55 for them. *By the way isteve, are those Slips (Rota Slipstreams) on your Miata?

I think that that's perfectly fair. Normally I fix people's computers and do crap like this for free and refuse payment (even though I refuse 90% of the time I end up getting the money anyway cause they refuse to let me do it for free like Bob whom I reinstalled Windows for, gave me $75 when I said I'd do it for free) but for something that's that much of a PITA, I think it's fair.

Wooo, yay. I did some work for my neighbor while she was on vacation and I'm getting paid. And I just got paid from my job, yay. I have moeny, time to buy new hard drive. I don't even wanna attempt to fix it since it's the stock 96 CX radiator while I have a 99 Si motor that has larger hoses and crap. I'm gonna order one of 3 different radiators. It says on the PlastX bottle that it can be used for that too. It even works on CD's it says.

I know someone that wet sanded with 3 different grains and then used PlastX. Using just PlastX itself gets a lot of oxidation off. Just for giggles, I used it on my 99 headlight (i only have one and it doesn't fit 96-98 anyway) and it did really well. It was already in considerably better condition than my 96 lights but it still ended up looking a lot better after PlastX.

Well, I worked on the headlights today......again. Different method this time. Last time I was wet sanding, buffing, and using Scratch-X. This time I went to O'Reilly's, bought some PlastX (both Scratch-X and PlastX are McGuire's), and went to town. All I did was put the PlastX on some shop towels and wiped away on my headlights. It removed a lot of oxidation and cleared them up good. I'll get pics when I can. I also washed my car yesterday.

Got a new laptop and here's my desktop on it for now. I'm trying to find a wallpaper (and maybe theme) I like more.
