With my 1800XT I can play HL2 on 1600x200 8x anti-aliasing, and Doom 3 with 2x AA.

This is your computer but I think the althon X2 is overkill a althon 64 3700+ would be more that fine for video work, photo work, backing up DVD's, and minor gaming.

That video card is good I have the same card I can play HL2, F.E.A.R, Doom 3, Quake 4 the only problem I have had is the card will over heat with Doom 3, and Quake so you might want to get a better cooling system for the video card.

I would not get the SLI motherboard get THIS I have the same board and it will save you some money.

School should not have computers they do not know how to maintain them I was hired to work on the schools computers a three month job I did a full system scan got 73,000 spyware programs off cleaned 96 viruses. I replaced 75 of the schools 150 computers CD-Rom Drives the kids had stuck gum in it like 100 of the mic the ball was missing half the computer had porn on them like those computers where like not even a year old after I fixed them they ran fine every year I go work on them the state basically rebuys 150 computer every year.

Ok I ordered vonage they said my wireless router will work with it ok it says to turn the computer off unhook the power then plug the phone line into the WAN port on the router I did that I turned the computer on waited 10 min before trying the phone I did that but the phone wont work no dial tone.

I installed firefox 1.5 it works fine for me my extensions are working fine some themes dont work I did the Start, Run, Firefox -p and its doing fine.

I have THIS card its a nice card under $200 I can play almost every game on high F.E.A.R, Doom 3, HL2, it also comes with alot of software or THIS if you want to do an SLI setup later it is over the $200 mark but BFG makes nice cards.
