I need to figure out what's going on with my computer. It seems that the disc is always spinning and seeking and writing, and today I looked in task manager for some clues and I noticed I have 71 processes running, SVCHOST.EXE being 13 of them. What should my first step be to calm my frayed hard drive? I've checked for viruses/malware/adware and the like, and I have none. Thanks

Alright, so with my new perdy little PC came on-board bluetooth. I have a bluetooth headset and suprisingly it works great for the ventrilo server I'm on. The thing is, I also have a pretty nice set of speakers (2.1). What I would love to do is to somehow set all sounds (music, games, etc) to come from the speakers, and only the ventrilo sounds/voices to the headset... Is this possible?

I don't really know, they always have a laptop and they plug it in and then proceed to tell me it's my router. How is it my router, when I have the same connection with it directly plugged from my internet source to my computer? I have a few sets of Cat5, they all seem to be in complete working order.

Speaker thing really didn't work...and those guys aren't in my area. (I'm about a quarter mile out of range on one of them) Still chitty internet. I was getting .7kb/s while downloading a file from superford.com. Took a HELL of a long time, 1.5mb. Should have taken 30 seconds. The funny thing is they keep telling me it's on my end...but here's the thing. Before I got Internet America, I had Wacool (another local service). It was great, perfect for my application. Then...it was bought by Internet America and we merged with their customers. It has SUCKED ever since.
