Task Bar & Icon Help Needed Badly
bearskin replied to flashh4's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
it fixes the registry...not sure if the command is right...try a couple of ways...scanreg \fix...scanreg /fix....I think there should be a space between the scanreg and /fix...also it would be good to invest in a operating system..you'll need one eventually. -
well if I was young and in school I would put my little black book on it....

I ran netstat from command and saw a coolweb.com. I updated and ran all my scans and found nothing. I downloaded cwshredder and it found nothing. I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary on my computer...redirected pages, slowdown, etc but I was kinda worried about the netstat report. here is my log: Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 11:22:11 PM, on 4/1/2005 Platform: Windows ME (Win9x 4.90.3000) MSIE: Internet Explorer v5.50 (5.50.4134.0100) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\KERNEL32.DLL C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MSGSRV32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\mmtask.tsk C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\MPREX

call your isp and bitch them out...it's their fault. -
batteries usually have a + and - sign plus voltage and amps. might have to get a magnifier to look at this stuff. the ones I've seen are usually by the power supply.

well thank you JSKY. I read all about it and I'm still confused about how to use it...

ok..I'll try to say this as plain as possible. I bought a refurb computer from Tigerdirect that has win2000 pro. now these refurbs don't come with a disk and they won't supply one. is there a simple way to put this on a cd so if I ever have to reformat, change hard drive, or use on my other computer? please explain it simply as you are talking to a dumb injun....thanks

the battery on the mamaboard also hold the bios setup..although pentium boards usually have a round silver battery...the old 286-386-486 boards sometimes had the long oval battery that was soldered to wires.

Install/run Apps From Jump Drive
bearskin replied to mikex's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
I'm pretty sure that Spybot, Ad Aware, Avg can if it's installed to that drive...not so sure about HJT. I'm sure you can install the first 3 to any drive but not HJT.
