You can burn files from the knoppix live CD, you can't open the disk drive until k3b lets you...

You could partition a drive.

You can make the folder that they are in "private" if you use ntfs as a file system... -
Debian can be installed from two floppies and a 'net connection. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How do you do a 'net connection? Remember now that I am a total newbie here <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I want to say a similar way you get a 'net connection in windows using ethernet...

I can think of two now: 1)About me on the political compass: Economic Left/Right: -9.38 (stable, very little movement), Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.69 (semi-stable, move up or down by a few points depending on the test (currently near lower max)) Can you guess what I believe in? 2) I have crashed [into a unusable state] my GNU/Linux distro three times in the past year.

That's what I thought. Didn't they take some preservatives out of them (propably led to cancer or something)? I always tell my in-laws they use to cut people's head's open when they had a fever too haha...... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Even preservatives can't stop something from spoiling when it isn't refrigerated. All it takes is to let the air in and the decomposition begins. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> there already air in the bottle...... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Slowing down the growth of bacteria is the goal.

I interpreted it as meaning he wants to fade one picture, and make it the background of his site.... Maybe I'm wrong..... If you post the picture, I'm sure someone can fade it just the way you want. Therefore no one will have to give you long instructions on how to do it.... Just a thought.... Brett <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe transparent PNGs can do what I think you are saying, but they don't work in IE6 (M$...)

So you have two pictures? Put the pictures in separate layers, so the one you want on top is on the upper layer, then by where the layer list is, you can adjust layer opacity, change it what you want for the upper layer....

I wish I had a 40 GiB partition, I only have a 30 GiB hard drive, and a 6 GiB GNU/Linux partition. Ubuntu is a distro that many people recommend.

Windows Security Center Blocked Out&no Internet
quickbasicguru replied to RMuffin's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Safe Mode helps because then you don't have as many programs running; viruses/spyware/malware remove "better" in Safe Mode because of that. About Scandisk, in XP, at the command line, I believe this: chkdsk -f will let you schedule scandisk/chkdsk to run at the next start-up. -
thevirtualbrowser.com is what it uses. I have my own PHProxy set up. "Smart Filter" (the software they use at my school) is not smart. It blocks google cache, which I have to use when a site from a list of sites that we are allowed to only use is out of bandwidth, is blocked because the page uses a ip address. Smart Filter allows all the bad but blocks the good. Well, I can get to my site that I host at home ok, but "personal" sites are blocked, even though they always seem to contain valuable research data. And our school website, all the unprotected directories...

Did you try scanning in Safe Mode?
