Sounds just like my youth. Back then I always thought the farm was a horrid life and way to much work . Now I look back and think those were some great years. With me it was Fanta orange on ice ; the volunteer fire department was located by the town park and they kept a big tub out on hot days and you put a nickel in the jar (honor system) and grabbed a pop.

Have you cleaned the cdrom drive with a laser lens cleaner? IF not do so now .

I have been using Core FTP lite (For well over a year now) to access my FTP (NAS disk enclosure with FTP) and find it simple to use and stable and entirely adequate to the task.

I think that after SP2 and a couple of more recent updates there were patches you had to manually download from Norton to fix the common client or it could cause this type of problem. Most of the big manufacturers now suspend support after two or three years because it is so hard to keep patching older non compliant versions. Best advice is to always use a new version when you can.

Are you sure that the label C: is assigned to the first partition on your hard drive? What I mean is if you explore D: does it have your Windows folder? or if you right click on the start menu and choose explore does it open D: ? This is a potential consequence of having a SATA hard drive and having USB as one of your motherboard boot options and accidentally booting with a USB jump drive plugged in . Do you have a SATA hard drive? If you go to start / run and type diskmgmt.msc and hit enter Look at Disk 0 on the left What partititons are lised on the right for it? What is the drive design

Error Message When Downloading Files From Internet
Pete_C replied to novi's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Was this a file you formerly had "synced for offline " so that it was in the content IE5 folder? IE 7 no longer uses this system so previously synced items do not work. -
I would still use kill disk and then use the maxtor drive partitioning and formatting tool and then retest. I have seen this happen when someone tried to partition for linux install and then tried to fdisk over and quit part way through.

How To Hide Ip And Encryt Data Easily?
Pete_C replied to anti_mary555's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Are you using an unsecured wireless or are you using their network to connect? If your wireless network is not secure, enable WPA and use a good password (not one they will guess) and preferable a good SSID too that is not personally identifiable. If you are using their network, well then of course all they have to do is check their router logs and monitor the traffic (packet sniffing). Proxy servers are really a waste of time since not only can the web master use simple techniques to find out what your real IP address is, but if you are under investigation they will likewise be able to find -
Sounds like you got it a lot worse up there than down here in Dallas. They kept predicting freezing rain, but although the temp hung around freezind from Friday night on , all it did was rain. We got over 4 inches which raised the lakes up 3-4 feet. Still most of them are 7-12 feet low, but considering we just had two years of drought that is a big help. The freezing stuff finally hit here about 3am last night ; but the Texas sun came out and even though it dropped to 28 by noon the sun melted all the ice off the roads by then.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duplex_(telecommunications) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethernet No there is no advantage to limiting your card to half duplex if full duplex communication is supported.

Here in Dallas we had a cold front arrive Friday night. It dropped to low thirties about 3Am and hasn't really risen any since. The weathermen are constantly warning of "winter weather emergency" and "Freezing rain alert" but so far the rain has been to heavy to freeze even if the temp is below 32. Maybe to the west of here; but not in Dallas.

Ah, but remember; of all the office personell the secretaries and receptionists probably have more contact with people than anyone else. And in an office environment it is more likely to be viruses and not bacteria which are the problem. So antibacterial is probably not the way to go. Sure if they were handling raw meat that would be one thing; but in their case you need something effective against viruses. And there washing is more effective than lotions ; unless they contain something like Lysol .

At that point I would suspect a power issue. Are these both devices which draw power from the USB port? Neither has an external transformer?

What is the rest of the stop error? It sounds like a problem with a device driver or virtual machine (antivirus component) http://aumha.org/win5/kbestop.php -

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm #260 right side System32 Folder Opens Upon Boot Basically something flipped a bit in your registry (maybe a recent solar flare or thunderstorm ) causing windows to try to open the folder instead of or in addition to loading the contents. -
At first it sounded like this was going to end up like Ned Beaty in Deliverance.

Whenever I see one of these claims; I always have to wonder how many are removed with just warm soapy water? After my bout with salmonella ( I still say that my OL undercooked the eggs and turkey bacon or cross contaminated things when making them for breakfast) I have been much more conscientious about keeping things separate and cleaning up. I put a second meat compartment in and labled one RAW MEAT ONLY and the other LUNCHMEATS . I also now keep a jug of clorox above the kitchen sink. But speaking of getting the latest virus. On the way home from work I saw a local news crew set up at an i

A number of high ranking (assistant chiefs, the chief himself) officers lost their jobs because while it could not be proven they knew about it they sure should have. Most sued and got reinstated or got cash settlements. I think that the chief at the time got a big settlement and just recently got a new chiefing prosition in Georgia or Florida. The FBI got involved but in the end only one officer got time over it and he is still out on appeal I think. But little has changed. A recent undercover investigation found officers assigned to airport security spending most of their shift at one

I guess I am just accustomed to thinking in Texas Terms these days. It is almost fifty miles just to get out of the urban sprawl around here. A hundred miles is just an hour and a half drive; hardly worth the bother of trying to find a train. Well they do have the trinity railway express between Dallas and Fort Worth, but that is only about thirty miles each way. Amtrack may still be available for some longer runs, but I remember them discussing discontinuing the Texas service a couple years back. Walmart? They are now the biggest grocery store chain in Dallas as well as the regular walma
