  1. ... dog................ A pet of ours. She passed away a little over a year ago shortly after Sadie, another of our pet dogs passed away. Down to one dog (many cats): Pooper dog (or Maddie) canine
  2. Excellent advice Pete. That's the wat I was taught at culinary school. Don't forget to season it with a little S&P before you grill. Joe
  3. Peaceful space. One of the last great ones that I know about. And don't forget to "SHHHHHHHHHH!" I love libraries. They are so civilized. I used to hang out at the NYC public library main branch on 34th and Park, I think? Maybe 42nd. I don't remember. You could spend your entire life in there and never read the same thing twice. And they had wonderful comfortable chairs and tables. Original manuscripts of Walt Whitman, Milton, Thoreau, Emily Dickinson, Mark Twain, etc. Oil paintings of Monet, Renoir, Botocelli. And books books books. A true museum and gathering place for people who think

  8. Highball........retro alchoholic beverage. Most bartenders today have probably never heard of it.
  9. I'm still not to buy anything from those jerks.... aka RIAA. It's going to take a LONG time to forgive their plotting and scheming. Thanks for the info though.
  10. Raining for the past two days.......which always is a major news event in Phoenix. The local TV news "reporters" run out to K-Kart and then pose with their new yellow slickers on the evening news. I also discovered some new leaks in the roof.
  11. Birthdays never bothered me emotionally......that is until I hit 50. That's when the $hit hit the fan for me. Uncertainty, death of both parents a year later, major back and neck problems which are now chronic, mortality actually becomes a reality in your perpsective, unlike when you were younger. But I guess the alternative isn't much better.
  12. metal quicksilver Marvel comics character
  13. ....."live in a dog eat dog society" That's true. We also live in a 'people eat lot's of pizza, doughnuts, and cake society.'
  14. Marty: You can be any age. Look at me. I still have a year to go and will probably be dead before graduation. LOL Age is never an education obstacle. (although back pain, irritibility, memory loss, fatigue, and all the other things that go with aging are) Honda Boy: Thanks for the idea. I think I'll get it. Joe
