Welcome flashh4. This is a great board. You will meet some of the finest people here, that are more than willing to help, with a wealth of knowledge. I might add it can be a lot of fun also. We all get along like one big happy family. A lot of us are from the old TechTV, which is now G4, and I also do not participate too much at G4. Only drop in once in awhile. I also found my intrusion detection off, when I went to check liveupdate manually, and it would not let me turn it back on. I had NIS 2003, and was ready for renewal soon, so went and got NIS 2005. The only problem I had with it is, it has a pop up blocker. When you go to some sites, you have to turn it off while at that site and everything works ok. You of course have the option to turn it off completely. I have only had it for 2 days, so can not give a complete review of it, but so far ok. The NIS 2003 took about 140MB, and NIS 2005 only takes up 33.27MB. It also has an anti-spam feature,

I was just over there and saw the petition for Pete, and of course voiced my opinion and signed also. I can't imagine anyone in their right mind wanting to get rid of Pete. He has done so much for a lot of people, including myself, devoting a lot of FREE time. I hope G4 reconsiders and keeps Pete, and than Pete can leave on his own terms.
