I picked up this little beauty yesturday in Princeton, TX. (which is just north of Dallas) It's a little rough around the edges and Ill need a tetanus shot soon, but it runs like a top. It's an 85' Ford F150 w/ the 302 V8. (fuel injected) I paid $750 +TTL. Once I gitter cleaned up and put the CB in she'll look great. It leaks a little oil, but hey, its 21 year old... (hmm, it can drink now ) Now instead of beating Civics in my Focus, I can roll over them in my F150. Thank you Lord and Mr. Ford...

THat was the best generation of S10, CHeif. I had the next gen up from that (1993) and it went through 3 trannies before blowing the engine. ha

That's the truth. Im still trying to find that 34 mpg my Focus is supposed to get. If doing 95% highway with the cruise control set at 65mph doesn't do it, nothing will. The EPA is changing testing procedures this year so hopefully they will be more accurate. On a side note, I took a 5.4L triton pulling a 3 ton travel trailer to Florida last summer. The torque in that truck is great. And a plus, the cruise control didn't catch on fire

The requirements are absurd. It makes no sence to declare a truck "truck of the year" if you don't compare it to any other trucks. TT, id wait for the numerous amount of recalls to come out and shoot for the 08' Also, I havent driven one, but on paper Ford beats out its GMC counter parts. FOr example, 294 lb-ft of torqe for Ford's 4.6 compared to 260 on GM's 4.3L. GM's vortec 6.0L only has 10 more ft-lbs of torque over the 5.4L triton. 0.6 more liters for 10 more pounds of torque? GM may have lower drive train loss I suppose...

Wow, four GM vehicles (all based on the same platform) and one Ford SUV which is quite a bit smaller than a full size truck. Good ol' Motor Trend. The competition was a tuffy for GM. Pete, I have a feeling a "patient" would leave a Walmart clinic sicker than when he or she went in Hitest, that sounds like a good way to travel. I didn't realize people really used trains for transportation much anymore. I guess with the roads messed up it's a blessing. I wish I could see some of the as-described scenery. We hardly had a cold Christmas, much less a white one. Now you should get your kid a train set

You're right Bozo. I can't believe I waited this long to get one. Communicating with the controllers of the road sure makes it easier, as well as keeping you entertainted. I got back home today and counted around 20 troopers along I10 in Louisiana. I fear that state And since when does "border patrol" give out speeding tickets? Isnt their something a little more important they could be doing.... I took I10 through New Orleans instead of the bypass. I couldn't believe the amount of damage still visible. Amazing how Mississippi seems to have healed Also, heres a tip... Learn proper lane

This coming from a person with a 5 tone civic ANyway, that's not a real Mustang. Its a washed out 6 cylinder version. AKA a chick car. I drove a newer Neon about a month ago as a rental. It wasnt bad. I really like how it felt. More of a sporty feel instead of an economy car feel. (the way the steering wheels and seat was positioned)
