  1. Have waste management come at between 4:30 and 5:00 am every Tuesday for nearly two years to empty the dumpster next door (there is a consignment store next to me). When I called to complain that there was no reason for them to come at that time of the morning I was told it was because it was downtown they had to get it before people parked cars to block it in. I explained that this wouldn't happen here as they were sitting on my property to empty it. The dumpster itself sits on the neighbor property. I parked my car in front of it and the s o b's called the cops to tell me to move my car off
  2. I gave up on earthlink several years ago, found tha Juno/ Netzero was much better for my dial up service. only quit them because I got cable. Still have my juno email addy, in fact Ihad my earthlink e mail for 2 years after I quit using them, so you may not have to give it up to change isp.

  5. I prefer win2k to xp and am not even thinking of getting vista. I use OO and word 97 without any problems opening the docs written on one in the other
  6. I once had a bunch of wrenches and sockets stolen from an enclosed porch while I was in the house. Knew who it was but could never prove it. Found another reason to beat the crap out of him and never lost another thing. It was a neighbor known for being light fingered

  9. My computer is on 24/7. AVG auto updates and runs every night, also have spyware guard, spywareblaster, and several other protections on here. This system has been running for five years with only a few upgrades. The original hard drives were replaced only because they were too small, in fact they are both still being used in a linux box. So I personally think scanning doesn't affect the hd to any great extent. I haven't noticed too many slowdowns due to scanning
