Information taken from the Ubuntu Wiki in regards to restricted formats Try DEB_BUILD_GNU_TYPE=i386-linux fakeroot make-jpkg jre-1_5_0_03-linux-i586.bin[code] or similar command if you are not using i386 architecture. (Note: in above example, 1_5_0_03 might have to be 1_5_0_06.) make-jpkg translates Sun's bin file into a debian package. Then dpkg installs that package.

ok, let's fix this slow start up process you're having. I would recommend running your Disk Defragmentor and Disk cleanup under start>accessories>system tools. Let me know how your system is running after that. yes you may start removing the extra tools you have downloaded and don't need.

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot. From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter. It will process then start. Your desktop and icons will disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, it will be ready for a reboot. Press any key to reboot. After the reboot notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log. IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in th

well, you now have a new infection listed. Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked. O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MediaGateway] C:\Program Files\MediaGateway\MediaGateway.exe after that is done reboot to safe mode then find the following files and delete them if found: C:\Program Files\MediaGateway C:\Program Files\180solutions reboot to normal mode and post a fresh hijack this log.

let's try to stop the need for reformatting It's a bigger headache then it's worth. You have the latest version of VX2. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. this is odd, it appears as though you are missing programs that you had on there before. are all your programs working ok?? I also did some research on that True Sword. I recommend you reinstate all the "Quarantined" files it has collected. I also advise that you uninstall it and not use it anymore. more information can be obtained at Spyware warriors: Rogue/Suspect list and from the looks of it, this program was just added January 3, 2006. This may be the cause of your hijack this log looking like it was ran from safe mode.

From what I have seen it might be more of a hassle then it's worth. it also appears that most companies are discontinuing manufacture of them.

it appears that you did this scan in safe mode, could you please do a scan in normal mode and post it. thanks
