bozodog
Eat right! Make sure you get your daily dose of fruits and veggies.Take your vitamins and bump up your vitamin C.Get plenty of exercise because exercise helps build your immune system.Walk for at least an hour a day, go for a swim, take the stairs instead of the elevator, etc.Wash your hands often. If you can't wash them, keep a bottle of antibacterial stuff around.Get lots of fresh air. Open windows whenever possible.Get plenty of rest.Try to eliminate as much stress from your life as you can.ORTake the doctor's office approach.Think about it...When you go for a shot, what do they do first?Clean your arm with alcohol..Why?Because alcohol kills germs.So.......I walk to the liquor store. (exercise )I put lime in my Corona...(fruit)Celery in my Bloody Mary (veggies)Drink outdoors on the bar patio..(fresh air)Tell jokes, laugh..(eliminate stress)Then pass out.. (rest)The way I see it...If you keep your alcohol levels up,flu germs can't get you!!!!My grandmother always said, "A shot in the glass is better than one in the ass!" TheTerrorist_75
I aviod the flu by telling my doctors that I will not visit them during the flu season. If you don't have it and sit in a waiting room full of sick people you soon will.I go to the grocery store once a month in the middle of the night when it is almost vacant. Ever see how many sick people with sick kids shop during the day?I don't have visitors during the flu season. They can come see me when it is over or email/call.Up here in the snowbelt I get plenty of excercise and fresh air shoveling all of that white crap.Bacterial soap can actually increase your chances of getting sick by disabling your natural resistance to germs. I just use warm water and a bar of moisturizing soap. Not only are my hands clean but they don't crack from the cold dry weather. If I must visit relatives and they are sick I have a large supply of paper filter masks and latex gloves.A person that is immunosuppressed as I am learns how not to get sick.
