Pete and Chappy have had my respect long before I joined here--what patient and knowledgable experts!!.I think what Darkestdream was doing (and correct me if I'm wrong!!) was giving a "different side of the story" and stating the source, which is a correct thing to do, and which is what we need to hear--objectivity comes from hearing all sides. We need the opinions from all sides to draw an accurate conclusion to what really happened at G4, although I doubt anyone will ever know the accurate truth.I also know that "somewhere around here", Chappy explained why he "unbanned himself and rebanned himself"--I just don't know where it is I'm just overjoyed that these experts and the other experts from G4 have migrated here!!Liz Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I think you'll like it.This isn't G4.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>ya i know..i may not have a high post count but i was the 38th to come over here...i also joined TTV in early 2001..(and didn't post for well over a year..) ..the shameful way that g4 treated the folks i have held in high esteem and deep respect has touched a nerve..such as to wake me from my normal lurker state..so you'll have to bear with me until i get this out of my system...i know you'll understand that right now just ignoring the boneheads in charge at g4 is simply not an option for me.. d_leet Posted August 17, 2005 Report Share Posted August 17, 2005 It's just not the same back at G4 anymore now that so many people have gone, adn the admins aren't really helping the situation so I'm just a little angry at the whole situation, but what really pisses me off is that before today it was at least partly a nice community where anyone could go without having to look at so much language, and porn, I mean are you serious isn't G4's target audience supposed to be young teens then why the hell are they allowing porn on their forums that is just idioitic to me. Basically the part that said Tech board was being killed.I PM'd others the entire thread and they posted it instead...Anyway, you are supposed to post a thread in the private Maintenance board at G4 anytime you ban someone, and give the reasons, the length of ban, and the account info of the member being banned.I was curious to see what MissFae was going to put for a reason so I waited to read it....and waited....and waited....and waited....for over 3 hours, no post.So, I used my Mod access I still had, to unban myself. Then I wrote the post as it should have been written, minus the reasons why, included all the correct info, and then put myself back into the ban list....thats it really.All I did was do the proper documetation for my own banning that Missfae neglected to provide....and she's a new Senior Mod yet!!BTW DarkestDream, my username was never ChappyDad, it was always ChappyRFD. When I read all of this stuff yesterday that had happened to Pete_C and Chappy it made me angry too. That was the final straw which helped me to decide to leave G4. I don't miss that place at all.
