bar5
I don't know how they think this stuff up!!Here is a math trick so unbelievable that it will stumpyou. Personally I would like to know who came up with this and whythat person is not running the country. 1. Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this one in your head) 2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT YOUR AREA CODE) 3. Multiply by 80 4. Add 1 5. Multiply by 250 6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number. 7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again. 8. Subtract 250 9. Divide number by 2. Do you recognize the answer? Pass this on and share the amazement...

Chappy
Pretty nifty all right!Thing about numbers is...you can make them do whatever you want them to do.Just look at your computer for instance....remember that this is all just 1's & 0's.and then realize that we only use 2 numbers to do all this with....just think if we used ALL OF THEM!!!WOW....what we could do then eh... jimras
It doesn't work for me!The last 4 numbers of my phone number starts with a "0" and I think that screws something up.Jim

handplane
jimras,Try it again.Made up a number, 791-0440 and it worked for me.791x80=63280 +1= 63281 x250= 15820250 +440= 15820690 + 440= 15821130 -250= 15820880 divided by 2= 791-0440If the last 4 numbers start with a zero just add the last 3 as in above.
