  1. Hi everybody,

    You guys all have such interesting ways that you got your usernames. Mine is just plain old boring? When I was just a pup, a loooong time ago, a business acquaintance tagged me with that name as a joke and it sorta stuck. That's it... very boring ;)

    Take care all!

    Yeah it's extra special when a nickname is geven instead of chosen.

    BTW does it stand for China White?

  2. Jeez macmarauder, I don't know how you find the time for all the stuff you do? You have so much on your plate... it's a miracle you have time to play on the computer just for fun??

    Sugar!!! :D I just eat enough sugar until I look like this guy except with out blinking. :blink:

  3. Go Go robroy Go Go!

    The closest I came to dealing with my addictions was to just started calling them hobbies.  :D

    Hahahahahahaha!!! Well, when ya look at it that way way Mac? I'll bet there's a lot of folks that have taken up hobbies lately :D

    Good luck robroy, congrats!!!

    What's really sad is how many I have. Since you read some of my post on Leoville you have an idea but for those who don't know here's a short list. :huh:

    @Tuff Truck biulding and racing. -- will have some fresh pictures from tonights race on my MoBlog soon.

    @Building and racing amature stock drag cars. -- sorry no pictures due to it looking extreamly ugly right now.

    @Going to auctions and buying very rare items to sell on eBay. -- the cream of the crop is nude pictures of Marilyn Monroe. Pictures can be found on my comics site. Sorry I masked out the nude parts.

    @Building 15ft tall Trebute (form of French Catapult) specifically desinged for launching computers which I am now calling "UG's Tech Support Service"

    @Building custom computers -- not modding but old shool building and old fashioned modding of the motherboard

    @reprogramming those talking fish to insult people

    @Build robot models

    @Make music videos

    @Write video games

    @Photography and Graphic arts

    No I do not have the money to pay for all this. The Tuff Truck is paid for by Colorado Auto Land.

    The Race Cars are paid for by Cimino Auto Sales, Phil Long Dealerships.

    It may seam like a lot but I have to keep myself busy so that I don't destroy microsoft again. That and I had to promis my mother that I wouldn't ruin Global Corporate Conglomerates anymore.

  4. Man if I had a machine like that I am sure I would go back up to 30 cups of coffee a day. That's right, it's not a typo as I use to drink 30 cups of java ah day. Now I only drink about 12 cups of Joe a day. I'm less hyper so I have been told. My DR. still isn't to happy about it, but as I tell her at least I am not drinking 30 cups of joe. A machine like that would be the cause of my happy death LMAO. boi17.gif

    30 cups of coffee, wow. Did you work the graveyard shift somewhere?I know quite a few people that cannot function without it, carrying their 32oz. coffee mug. Coffee can be so addicting, just imagine if it was within reach and some Kahlua to add to it or your choice of poison.

    That reminds me of that episode of Futurama where Fry drinks 100 cups of coffe or something and after the 100th cup he goes in this super speed Euphoric State. :o

  5. I know this may be obvious to most of you that it's a scam but just in case.

    I have a Camcorder on eBay and I got and email from this guy:

    Dear seller, My name is Proffessor dacross of Bournemouth university i am interested in buying your item for my son in Africa as a birthday gift i will like to pay you via WESTERN UNION AUCTION PAYMENT otherwise known as BIDPAY.However you will have to ship the item as soon as you recieve the payment confirmation from western union.so get back if you are interested in selling the item to me with your name and address with the total amounts.You can check for my details in www.Bournemouth.ac.uk and get back Asap Regards

    So I thought OK. It's money from western union. Their repuable. So I replyed back with the usual stuff. Then He sent me this email:

    Hi, Thanks for your mail,can you pls do the calculation for 5 of the items including the shipping cost to Africa so that i can do the payment immediately.Moreso,your name and addess is needed for payment processing.However,You will have to ship the item immediately you recieve your payment confirmation from western union.Get back asap.

    My eBay auctions look very professional So i figured that here thought that I was a business. I replied back telling him that I had only one item and gave an estimate for shipping it to Africa through the cheapest way I could find and a buy it now price. He emailed me back with this:

    Got your mail,ok i will handle the shipment myself via my UPS accounts pls give me the amounts so that i can do the paynent Asap.

    Regards

    Now my brain starts turning and I do a little research. The next thing I know I get an email suposedly from western union sating that payment has been sent. Then almost right after that I get one saying that payment is complete. They both have links that say western union but take you to a site called Bid Pay. Bid pay allows you check the status of the transaction but registration takes about 5 days and you have to register to see the status. So if I had shipped the item like he wanted me to I would have no way to easily back track him and I wouldn't know for five days that there wasn't even a payment. In my research Bid Pay shows up with several problems plenty of problems. A little later when I was trying to think of what to reply to him I get another email almost exactly the same as his first email (from a different email address of course) about my Apple iBook on eBay.

    Now I won't say anything bad about him even though he just tried to scam me because it's not my nature so I'll just warn you guys. Fortunantly I wasn't hurt and the iBook is safely nestled in my arms but beware guys and good luck. :D

  6. There is no such thing as consumer property any more. Your just leasing it from the record label. :huh:<_<

    What I hate is when I do buy games or movies I burn a copy of them. Stick the original in my drawer and just use the copy intil it gets scratched up acouple of months later. They call me a criminal for this. And now they're trying to make self distructing CDs and DVDs. Aparently they haven't gouged us enough. :angry:

  7. :lol:  :D  :lol:

  9. Hi,

    At the risk of being accused of being a spammer here goes.  I have 1 Gmail invite to give out if you want one; it's free.  You can PM me your name and e-mail address or reply to this post.

    hitest

    (Besttechie member runs for cover fearing a flame thrower attack :D )

    No need to run for cover hitest? I have absolutely no problem with anyone giving out Gmail accounts.

    Personally I think what hitest and JSKY are doing is an extremely nice thing to do! :) Nobody is forcing anyone to accept a Gmail account. For the folks that have a problem with it, don't accept one and just read something else. It's not hurting anyone in anyway as far as I can see.

    I've had a Gmail account since the very beginning and have had no problems what so ever.

    I soo totally agree. I think that the G4 boards got so flooded by Gmail stuff that we sometimes get annoyed by it.

    No worries hitest and chinawht. Everyone here seems very friendly and if worse comes to worse as a big guy I make for good cover. ;)

  10. Just read this post, Glad to see you all found the same link I used to donate your invites.

    Makes me glad to see the poeple on this board aren't seflish, And don't try -----"Dumb Things", to get people to beg for them. (ie. Find it on my website, tell me why you should have one, and so on).

    I'm proud of you all!!

    Three cheers to you all!

    Yep everyone here seems to just enjoy and want to help others. Points for everyone! :D

    (opens a bag of points and starts handing them out)

    Yes I know the points are worthless but it's still fun. :P

  11. Good job on giving your invites to those who need it. 1,000 pionts for you. :D

    Hi macmarauder,

    Good to see you on the board! I agree with your statement 100%! :D
