There's no real answer to this. Every OS has it's strength's and weaknesses. It really just comes to what you prefer and what works for whatever you're doing. You can debate until you're blue in the face but it doesn't matter, people will use what works for them.

Yeah, just held the power button for five seconds, turned it back on and went to apple to grab the update.

A lot of other people are having the problem of the update stalling during configuration. I let mine sit for over 2 hours and it didn't do anything. After a restart I downloaded the combo update and the install worked just fine.

The update is stable so far on my MBP, the only problem I had was installing it through software update, but you already know about that hitest.

Nothing says Merry Christmas like the hell spawn.

Well that would suck if you had to go to the crapper. I can guarantee that the people below that thing wouldn't like me very much after I barfed all over them.

My new Macbook Pro, it's kind of nice being single I can spend money on myself, but I still feel kind of guilty for doing it.
