  1. Does anyone know what the At&T Yahoo browser is?

    I have a friend who uses this because of her internet provider,

    sbcglobal, and McAfee's SiteAdvisor won't work on it.

    Site Advisor downloaded fine and works on her IE but wouldn't

    on this browser she normally uses. I didn't know it existed.

    Thanks for anyone's input.

  2. Thanks for reading this!

    2 part question:

    1. A friend of mine is going on a trip and

    wants to be in touch with us via email.

    She plans to use a library computer.

    Is this safe as long as she clears her IE history

    after she closes her e-mail provider site?

    ~~~~~~~~~
    2. If it's safe that way, and if I give her IE6 directions
    to clear the history, can she follow those directions
    if the library is using IE7?
    I've heard there is no menu bar in IE7 by default,
    so she might not see "Tools"?
    [tools...internet options...clear history]
    I will really appreciate anyone's help!
  3. I have yet to download them. Let you know in a short. I have heard of problems with an update and XP Office.
    Terrorist, I heard somewhere about someone having problems with their printer
    [and maybe something else] since these updates.
    Don't know any details or who the person was...or how
    accurate the info was, but it made me more concerned than usual. Thanks!
  4. I would tell your friend to return the product and demand the money back. Have her print out the information below to bring with her. Tell her to stop doing business with that individual.
    Thank you all so much for helping out. Terrorist, as always,
    I can't thank you enough for taking time to check this out
    for me. I am now torn --not knowing whether or not she will
    be offended that I am not positive about this tech guy she
    seems to like. My guess is that he is getting some kind of
    kick back or would never ever have suggested this.
    She is a senior citizen like me...just not as aware of things, so
    is, I'm sure, easy to take advantage of.
    I need to figure out a way to tell her and will! Appreciate the link
    --that will help in my endeavor!!!
    Thanks again,
    nancy
  5. I was wondering if any of you have ever heard of
    an anti-virus program and/or security suite called
    stopsign. A tech repair guy sold a friend of mine
    a lifetime support of this company for $99 ...all
    for support on 3 computers too.
    She is in another town, had a virus, and I suggested
    to her all of the obvious security programs, but her
    tech guy talked her into this. He told her it had won
    awards from pcworld, so I thought maybe I was just
    behind on the latest and greatest.
    After going to pcworld and finding nothing on it,
    I am worried that she was talked into something
    not so reliable.
    Sure would appreciate anyone's comment on this!
  6. I've decided just to see if any of you have any ideas on this.
    A friend of my mother tries to send her Jacqui Lawson electronic greeting cards,
    but my mother never receives them.
    The friend sends them to me occasionally also, but I receive them just fine.
    I have checked my mother's computer for blocked messages and
    they are not being blocked. [she uses Outlook Express].
    I have always had her Norton anti spam feature completely off
    and have double checked that it still is. She has a firewall, but so do I,
    so I don't think that would be stopping a greeting card email.
    Sure would appreciate any suggestions.
