can anyone tell me what this: means? I am running windows 98se with 128 MB of ram... Since my friend got sims 2, he is giving me all his sims...(he has all the expansion packs!!) so I installed The Sims Deluxe Edition, and gets to the BSOD, then it dies.... thanks for your help, dk

Well, I am at my friends house, and ran avg7 and it got a hell of alot of virus's/trojans/other crap. I know if you press the Alt + F4 key, it will close a window or quit an application. I wa wondering if you can change the keys to something like Alt + Q or something like that. Thanks Danny

thanks ill try, but the cable goes into a little crevice and i cant get it so ill try to update the device manager EDIT: I just tried to do that, but it still doesnt even regognize it...

Their "excuse" is that they say that the Anti Virus program messed it all up... like i'll belive that...lol

I should have told you earlyer, but I am running 98se, and lost my avg free serial number....so I cant do a virus scan. and I dont have the install disk. It came from my moms old work, so they still have it and we couldnt get it back. For windows update I cant update it unless I borrow my friends broadband....and I did do the sfc and it came out good. so I dont know what the problem is....

It happens will ALL of the programs....except for the dial up connection and stuff in the system tray

Whenever, I try to launch a program, windows brings up it's "Open with....." screen. I select the program, but it does the same thing. I tried to press the button which makes it open w/ the same program all the time, but it just does the same thing. PLEASE HELP ME!!!! Danny
