    Walking miles to school... uphill, both ways, in the snow or rain: (that is what it always seemed like). On a rare clear day we could see Mount Ranier off in the distance

    Did our roller skates actually have bearings in the metal wheels? Didn't seem so... and yeah, keep that skate key on a shoe-lace looped around your neck if you didn't want to lose it

    Weird. Beautiful !

    We had snow last night coming down pretty good. The previous snows had already melted. Today... blue skies and not a cloud in sight, and the new snow is a'meltin' again. Grandkids got delayed a couple of hours before school started today because their school received a considerable amount more than we did at 2000' elevation (school ~2500+ elevation)
