For me when I use firefox, i notice that it does lag. Especially on sites that have a lot of graphics and advertisments. But when I use IE on sites with a lot of graphics its smooth. I have a cable connection so I dont know why firefox lags, but I still use it anyway.
-
If I may??
Unistall the video card and restore the onboard graphic's.
then tryto get the SM controler to install.
After you get the controler installed then re install the video card and disable the onboard.
I think what has happened is the software does not reconize the card and stops.
I'm hoping that by finishing up with the system in stock config it will finish installing.
yea, i remember doing that a while back, and it didnt fix it so i gave up on it. But it started to bother me again so i got back trying to fix it, and now its fixed!! But thanks anyway tenmm.

After much researching I found intels site lol. I had to install this one thing and the sm bus controller was fixed. Anyways thanx for the input team!
-
I never got a CD for my motherboard, or any CD at all. My computer manufacture is compaq. Anything else i can do?
-
I installed sygate, uninstalled the controller, then restarted. And windows found the new hardware, tried to install it again but I still got the same message. Sygate didnt prompt me to allow it to connect to the internet. Any more ideas lol?
-
I have no third-party firewall, I thought you meant to turn on windows firewall. But if I get a third-party firewall will it fix this problem?
-
Okay I turned on windows firewall, I uninstalled the sm bus controller, then I restarted. Windows found the controller and it tried to install it, but it still gave me the cannot find the necessary software message. What can I do next?
-
I recently did a reformat on my computer, and I cannot fix this sm bus controller thing. I have a video card and intel extreme graphics2, but I have disabled the intel graphics, and have enabled the video card graphics. Now, I have tried to install/reinstall and uninstall the smbus controller but it always says that it cannot find the necessary software. I have windows Xp, and running service pack 1. What shall I do next?
-
So its nothing serious? If its not critical I'll just leave it alone.
-
I finally got to using spybot search and destroy, I updated the definintions first than I ran a search. It came up with I believe 4 enteries of DSO Exploit. In the description it says theres sercurity holes in XP, and gives links to update XP. Except I have all updates, and I currently have SP1 running XP home edition. Why is it coming up with DSO exploits? Any one know how this can be fixed?
-
I don't want to discourage you, BUT...look for some independant news sources.
Of course you can read everything and form your own opinion. I'm not saying you can't see beyond the printed word.
Main stream media is not high on my list.
M
lol, yea I dont let the media make my opinion. I try to read from books and other sources besides the media. And then I form my own opinions.
-
Is there any particular kind of news you are interested in?
naw, I just like to read World and U.S. news. Thanks guys those will do.
-
thanks, anymore?
-
Anyone know of any website that sends you emails about news? I tried googles, but it doesnt really send you that many per day or when it happens.
-
I thank you both!

in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
Posted
I know this aint my thread, but I didnt want to start a new one. Anyone know any tweaks for firefox that will make the scrolling more smooth? I have tried to set different options, but it wont scroll as smooth as IE.
