I go with J.
I download everything to one folder, makes scanning for viruses easier. Fewer lost files also.
I have had no problems with this setting.

Does he have a sister??
LOL sorry, no sister unfurtunately.
(Nerelda would love to have a sister-in-law)
And in case anyone is wondering, yes, he picked it all out himself, and did tons of research on it all to make sure everything would work for what I need and to make sure I got the best. (I got him, so yeah I got the best! )

I love my boyfriend! as a gift to me for our 2-yr anniversary and christmas, this is what I got:
Raid Max Scorpio 868 PC case (seen here)
Asus K8V-X Motherboard
420 watt Power supply (comes with the case)
AMD 64 2800+ 1.8gig processor
1 gig PC3200 RAM
I'll be using my current 80 gig Hard Drive, my monitor, mouse and keyboard.....not to mention all my current media drives as well.
Next weekend he will be coming over and we're gonna work together on putting it all together so we'll have something to enjoy and get to spend some time together.
My mother also gave him some money to put towards a video card for me, which he will be ordering this week, so we should still have it by the weekend. I am either getting the ATI 9600 All-In-Wonder, or the ATI 9600 XT All-In-Wonder!

And this is why I no longer have the disire for the extra channels....

I have put a link and an ad on my site to BTs here. And have mentioned the boards to others on other boards. Yes we have some VERY good people here. Some of the old TTVs Best of the Best. It's not easy to find the ones who need the help and to get them here. But I think we are all trying to do that.
I have done the same as Jsky. I not only have a link to B's site on mine, but I also have mentioned this place to several people.

you all know too much. please look here at this red light for just a second and I'll answer all your questions.

Hey gang, this is a link my cousin in NY sent me that I found VERY interesting.....somthing to think about...
-
Have anyone used it? Windows search is good enough for me for now.
M
I agree with you Mikex, that's why I haven't used it either.

It sure is possible! Here's how:
Click "My Controls" (This brings you to your personal "Control Panel" on the forum.)
On the left-hand side under "Options", select "Board Settings"
At the top, you should see "Time Zone" with a drop down list. Select your local Time Zone within that drop down list.
If you have daylight savings time in your area, be sure to check the box labeled "Is daylight savings time in effect?"
When you are done editing your settings, click the button at the bottom "Change My Account Options."
Now you should be able to view everything on the forum with your local time.

... "...I logged in under the gaming account, made the proper changes, and rebooted. "
Did you log in as admin on the game account?
Yes, I logged in as Admin under the gaming account, but also tried by NOT logging in as Admin under the gaming account (although I know that was useless anyway) but I still try several ways of doing things, just in case.
-
There's usually also a cleaning feature in the printer properties. I'd check there too.
-
yeah, I've experienced that problem several times as well. Sometimes it doesnt even tell you what type of plugin is needed. I know there's a site you can get the plugins manually from. I think I have that in my bookmarks, but I'm not home right now. I'll look when I get back from class tonight.
-
Unfortunately, making changes to the services did not work. I logged in under the gaming account, made the proper changes, and rebooted. When I logged into my main account, I realized that those changes had effected both accounts.

Thanks for the link TG
1) I'm not home all weekend, so I'll have to try it later
2) I'm having some other major problems with my desktop right now, so I'll have to get them fixed first.

In addition to what Marty said, did you also remember to turn off any antivirus or firewall programs before installing SP2?
-
Arachnid, Glad you got it working.
Just as a reminder, after installing any extensions in firefox, you MUST close all browser windows, then restart firefox.

HAPPY (happy) BIRHTDAY!!! (birthday!!!)
Is there an echo in here?

Hi Nerelda
Simple to do, any changes made in your Gamer profile will not affect your Admin profile.
Change the Gamer profile to Limited account after you make the changes and it should be good to go. Visit Black Viper Home page to get the gamer profile set up
Good luck
Dave
Maybe I just didnt' look in the right places, but I couldn't seem to find the gamer profile setup.

Crow and myself had a time with this! lmao!
