try a different keyboard and mouse. If that don't work then there is probably something wrong with the PS/2 ports. I have had problems outmof an old gateway were at random it would just say no keyboard detected. usually after some jigglin of the cord and a few reboots it'd work.

Yes your motherboard supports 3200. I'm not sure you'll see much of a boost just from ram speed but increased RAM yes. I would get a gig of PC3200. I have a gig of PQI Power PC3200 in my Athlon XP 3000+ system. It's in dual channel too (2x512MB).

that's kinda like how the integrated network was on my system. when i first built it, it took me awhile to find a random setting in the bios to switch from no to yes and my internet finally was working. Why can't companies just automatically set everything to the correct thing out of the factory?

Ok we, at my church, want to set up a wireless network to share the broadband connection from the church's main building to a computer upstairs from the main connection, the parsonage(preacher's house), and the district superintendents office (another building). They are all on the same campus and real close to each other.the parsonage's drive way even connects to the church's parking lot and the DS's office is right next to the parsonage and those 2 are right behind the church. Just go to newegg.com and look in the networking section and start looking through the Wireless routers. find a good 4 or 5 star rated one and get it. Same goes for any wireless network cards. Also I'd wait till you have broadband before goin to newegg. It's kinda not dial-up friendly.

aww that sucks they ain't supportin 98 anymore. I own 1 upgrade copy of 98se that i have used in conjuction with an OEM 95 copy to install on about 4 or 5 computers. Currently that copy only exists on 3 that I can think of. My gateway, the PC at my grandmothers house and my friends old eMachine (used to be mine that's why). Only my fiends PC has internet of the 3. The other 2 in my house that have internet both run on XP Home SP2. Same disc different keys though. The discs to one were lost long before I even owned it. my Gigabyte GA-7N400-L (nForce2 Ultra 400) has a switch on on it. for any thing above a 200Mhz FSB you flip the switch to on if 200 or lower you set it to off (mine is a 400MHz FSB Version of the Athlon XP 3000+ Barton Core I beleive). Now I kinda doubt he has it but ya never know.

there is the possibility tha the FSb switch on your mobo (if you have one) is set wrong or possibly your timing switches OR you could be being told the FSB not the Clock speed.
