it'd probably be a little faster. I noticed a pretty good difference going from a 160GB IDE 8MB Cache to a 250GB SATA300 16MB Cache.

not up close they don't. Lord neither of them fits right and both are a tad short (bout half an inch). The front tire is actually covering up how poorly the sideskirt fits in this pic. Whoever drilled th holes for em was about half retarded. None were where they should have been.

I just took a fresh batch of pics but most of them suck so here's the pretty much only pic that was good. New side skirts. I'm sporting some Alabama Chrome on the hatch now too. (For those of you that don't know, Alabama Chrome is Duct Tape) I had to cover up the hole in my hatch so I could run through a car wash. I needed an undercarriage wash to get the salt off of it. Also I called the dealer about the center caps. $30...................... each. I ain't paying $120 for center caps.

I only have one Christian song. My brother recorded it for someone and played the drums in it too. I like it. But In terms of modern my favorites are Progressive stuff that is far different and a lot better than the popular music of today. This coming from an 18 year old. I'll stick with my Dream Theater, Rush, and Poets of the Fall.

I'm trying to accept the anime otaku I am (otaku is basically a fanatic) so I'm trying to do anime backgrounds. Plus I'm tired of the old XP look. As much as I dislike Vista right now, that little temporary run with the Beta 2 while I was waiting for the new HDD made me realize that I was insanely bored with the standard XP look. I decided to dress up my laptop too. I started off with this but then it dawned on me that I take my laptop to college and would rather not have everyone see it. So I changed it to the latter background with the same theme.

you mean how much time it takes to load when I start the computer. Same as the regular XP Style. I mean all I have to do to switch is right click the desktop - properties - Appearance and switch it there. It's just like going from XP to Classic.

Here is a Piano version of the opening theme of Elfen Lied, Lilium. Lilium on the Piano I'd post a video with the actual theme but they usually contain scenes from the series which can get gory. This one I got from ThemeXP.org. Style XP just taught me how to set this crap up on my own with out using a program so I just Googled something like XP themes. ThemeXP.org was free (though covered in spyware/adware). Yeah there's adware and spyware and crap in it. It makes you install crap just to decompress the actual theme install file. So what I did is after it got it decompressed I moved the theme's install file to another location and went back and uninstalled EVERYTHING that it installed and then ran spybot and adaware to remove what the uninstallers didn't and we are good to go. it was saying something like redundancy errors with these 8 files but I'm just redownloading them. So it's all good. I got put the hard drive back in to recover my bookmarks for Firefox. I can just get the ones from the Laptop (there are actually more on the laptop) but I had some on the Maxtor that were different

Phew, it took forever but I was able to recover the vast majority of it. Only 8 videos didn't make it. Of course that's out of 600 and something that were being transfered. I also transfered the videos I had on my secondary drive and now I'm at over 800 files. Now you know why I wanted so desperately to recover them. That's a lot downloadin right there.

how much spyware and adware are in WindowBlinds, WinCustomizer, and Style XP? I hate getting crap like that on my machine but I'm so desperate for a new look. I still do not like Vista but after having to use the Beta 2 for a coupla days, I realized I don't want that regular XP look. ok I already knew right click, properties, appearance. (I've built 3 computers and repaired dozens, I should know) but it doesn't change the XP Theme colors other than silver, blue, or green. I'd like to use different colors. I think I may just end up downloading a program that modifies the appearance. I'm thinking a completely different look entirely from the XP look. I want a program that does something like this. does anyone know of one? Again thank you.

I have a new background along with the new hard drive and blue, silver and green most certainly don't go well with it. I'd Like to change my taskbar to black with red text if possible and the start button I'd like to be red. Can you do this to the standard XP theme (not classic, I know you can in classic)? I'd also like to make the windows red with black text. Can I do this with out some other program? If not, what's a good program to customize the look of XP? I'm really getting bored with the regular XP look. Thanks in advance!!!

Well I think I might can recover all my anime without freezin the drive. It seems to be workin fine right now. Maybe the IDE cable was loose. I got the Maxtor set as slave by itself on the IDE0 Channel with the WD SATA as Master on the IDE2 (SATA0) channel. My stuff is copying over right now. *but it's gonna take forever **hour in and a little more than 40GB transfered. a little more the 60GB to go.

Yeah I think it's in IDE mode but I don't care. It's ridiculously fast and I couldn't figure out how to make it work any other way. It's just fine the way it is and I ain't gonna mess with it. I'm in love. SATA drives only from now on. It's so fast. Once that windows logo first pops up, less than 20 seconds my desktop is up. I love it. That windows logo is only up for 2-5 seconds. I'm so ordering another one of these puppies to replace the Samsung with. 2 250GB SATA drives. *Drool* plenty of space and wicked fast operation. I can't wait to see how long it'll take for games to load.

OK this thread was unnecessary and so was looking for that floppy. The XP disc recognized the drive immediately and is formatting as I type this. I thought XP wasn't supposed to be able handle SATA drives so easily trying to install windows on them. What did I misinterpret here.

whaddya know? I was looking at the box for my motherboard and apparently I already have a floppy disk (I just gotta find it) but it's for if you are using RAID. I don't know crap about RAID but I don't think I'm going to be using it. It is possible to use a SATA drive without RAID by itself right? *Ok I have absolutely no clue where that floppy is. yeah I have an nForce4 SLIx16 Chipset with I guess an nForce SATA controller. The mobo was made by EVGA. I'll download from nVidia since EVGA's old nForce4 boards weren't the best supported in the world. * of course. Neither the my desktop nor my laptop have Adobe reader. gotta wait for the download to read that .pdf. Man I thought at least my lappy had Adobe Reader.

I already had the Hard drive failing thread but I figured I'd open up a new one to ask this question. So, how do you install XP Home SP2 on a SATA Hard drive. I know XP has it's issues with installing on SATA drives. I wanna go ahead and be ready for when the new Hard Drive arrives. Thanks
