  1. You could try using DMZ (DE MILITARIZED ZONE). Its bascially putting you directly on the connection. You will no longer be protected by NAT so youll need to have your firewall enabled.

DMZ can be enabled on most routers, check your manual to see how to set it up.

DMZ does work but then it isnt very secure and bittorrent often gets stuck at 99% when in DMZ mode. Wich firewall?

Iv been thinking though that ill put my self in DMZ and download a firewall. Do you have any suggestions? I have tried kerio but it doesnt like battlefield 2 very much and crashes alot when I am playing. Very strange

  2. well in alchohal thers a button on the side bar under options wich says virtual drive. Click that and it will open up a box. Near the top theres a pull down menu with the amount of virtual drives you have. You just set it to one or however many you want and ill set on up for you. Drag the image onto the virtual drive and the computer will respond like as if you just inserted the CD

  3. If you do OWN the game then you could use Alchohal 120% to rip the CDs to an ISO or an md5. You could set up a virtual drive and load the ISO or MD5 directly onto it and you wouldnt have to use a CD at all

I have done that with sims 2 and battlefield 2 beccause i do play both often and I dont like having to look for disks.

  4. Hey im mabey thinking of upgrading my motherboard and processor. I want to just open up my self to PCIE in the future. Currently I am using an AGP (PCIE is better right?).

So the board im looking for is one wich has both AGP and PCIE support.

As for my CPU im looking for an AMD one. Something around 2.4 GHZ or so. I currently have a AMD 3400+. Price range for both mobo and CPU together is something around 300-400 dollars.

  5. I RMAed this seagate internal harddrive after it failed. After I got it back I noticed that Speedfan SMART tab said that the HD's health was medium like. I found that kinda strange since I just RMAed it. I ran the Seagate diagnostic with a full scan and it came up with no problems. I also started to notice that windows started to hang everynow and then and sometimes my computer wouldnt boot saying that it was detecting arrray. I just unplugged the harddrive and that fixed everything untill recently. I want to install Ubuntu on that drive now. The instalation hangs up alot though. Is this drive broken? I find it odd that seagates own diagnostic says the drive is alright while speedfan says its not. You would think seagate would know how to test its own drive.

  6. Ok back again. Im trying to install Ubuntu onto another harddrive. Not a dual boot just by it self on one drive. Problem is that it hangs up randomly in the install at different places and I have to restart the computer to get it going again. Iv tried it a few times and I dont know what I can do? Could this be a problem with the drive itself? The drive may be broken Im not sure cause it does act up (sometimes my computer freezes or refueses to boot) when it is hooked up but the seagate diagnostic says its perfectly fine.
