    sry i was using vga as a video card. I can barely see the no signal box. The backlight on the LCD goes out. There is still something on the screen but its hard to see cause there is no backlight. My card is a RAdeon 9800 and I just placed a PCI fan under it so i doubt that it would be overheating. I dont think a Video card can turn off the backlight of a LCD

    Im having a strange problem with my LCD backlight. It just randomly turns off and the only way to get it back on is to restart the computer. I tried unplugging both the power and the connection to my VGA and then replacing both but that didnt help and also lots of combinations of that. Also tried unplugging the power and connection to the VGA and only putting back the power. Normally a little blue box pops up saying there is no signal but all that happened is that the backlight went on for about 2 seconds and then turned off. I could see the box appear in the back faintly so I know its the backlight. The only way I could get it to appear again was to plug everything back in and restart my computer. This is really confusing because in one way it looks like a VGA problem and in another way it looks like my monitors problem. Can a VGA turn off a backlight on a LCD in the first place?

    well those old people like kevin rose and Leo Laporte are making free tech shows online. This week in tech is one of the most popular ones. So is Diggnation (Both are podcasts and diggnation has video)

    I listen to them every week and am loving it. I actually find it somewhat better then TTV. No commercials :). Only down side is that I only get one of each a week.

    What??? Why would you ever want to link to porn on a website where kids can view it. What is wrong with them. I used to be a avid member of the CTF boards but soon after the merger I lost interest. I want to thank Sultan_emerr who introduced me to these boards.

    Hey guys I got 50 bucks to spend and I need a new keyboard and mouse. I game alot so a few extra buttons on the mouse would be helpful. In a keyboard im looking for anything really looks do help. I was looking at saitek but iv found that the keys rub off after a while. Do you guys have suggestions on what to buy. Thanks

    Not too paranoid about sound. The case itself is a little noisy but my current heatsink sounds like a small portable vaccume cleaner. I need to get it right the first time because I have an exact 100 dollar budget. Currently with one of these

    My shipping is $97. Also had a question about that PCI blower. Im going to mount it near my VGA. Do you think this would help cool down the VGA? I know it sucks air but I hope it will pull cooler air near the Heatsink

    Hey guys Im planning on buying this

    Currently I am using a thermaltake venus 12 heatsink wich is loud as hell. Some 5500 RPM at max. I want to move to water cooling so I could experament a little with overclocking without making too much noise.

    Im not sure if im reading the specs right on it though but the radiator needs a 80 millimeter fan slot on the back right? Well I have this case

    I think the fan slot on the back is 80mm.

    Do you think that radiator will fit there? Will my case get in the way? (It has littleholes like a screen in the back)

  19. Cpu 100% Problem

    Sometimes when im playing games Counter strike source and Bf2 i get framrate problems. Normally soon after that I freeze up and have to do a manual shut off. I was able to close Counter strike as soon as I noticed the slowdown and found that my CPU was at 100% with no processes really there using it all. I opened up event viewer and came across a bunch of errors. I took a screenshot.

    What does this mean?

  20. Problems Starting Firefox

    Im having this really strange problem when I try to load firefox sometimes. After I press the button nothing happens. I opened up task manager and I can see its process sitting there not doing anything except taking up 22 megs of RAM or so. I have to end its process and re open firefox to get it to load. As of yet I dont see a pattern of when it happens. Just goes on randomly. I think this may be another glitch with 1.5 :wacko:

  23. Sims 2 Wont Work

    I have a perfectly fine ripped copy of sims 2 and it works fine. No errors. When you ripped the game there should of been an option where it would crack the write protection. You just had to find the correct one to use. I havnt done it in a while but you could find a tutorial on how to do it properly online
