He has 2 computers but one disk. Both PCs have XP on them. The one that is a Dell doesn't have the Dell disk and he wants to use his WinXP Home SP2 OEM disk to do a reinstall of XP on the Dell. This is legal and will work with the key that is on the Dell. jimras OEM key > OEM disk, Retail > Retail. Home > Home, Pro > Pro. Upgrade has it's own key. Its a new IDE cable and in my computer it says removable drive.

Yep i've updated the driver uninstalled the drivers reinstalled you name it i've tried it.

Ok for months my dell DVD/CD-ROM,CD Burner, Floppy Drive will not work so I took the CD-ROM drive out, and put it on my computer it works so I put it back in the dell and put my xp cd in the CD-ROM drive it read the xp cd so I restated the computer when window started up the cd drive wont work so I went to the device manager and my cd drive had a (!) next to it how can I fix this?

How many different sticks of PC2700 did you try? 2x256 sticks

My socket 939 mobo would not run PC2700 ram.

I think im deaf i've had a ear infection for a week the doctor gave me some antibiotics this morning I got up and cant hear nothing!! I went to the ER that was fun the doctor had to write so I could understnd him he said if I cant hear in 24 hours to come back can a ear infection make you go deaf? this is really scaring me

if it is an OEM cd.. use the key on the sticker on the side (or call dell and they must replace the cd if they did not provide one) a non OEM cd will not accept an oem key. Yeah my dell can with an xp cd.

I have a Window XP SP2 CD the dell has just Windows XP.

Im installing xp on my dell can I use the cd key on the side of the dell to install xp.

If I install xp on another computer can I use the same cd key thats on my computer.

Ok for the past few months when I start my computer after it post I get this "Floppy Drive Check Failed Hit F1 To Continue" the floppy drive works fine how can I fix this?

The price will be like ATI's X series cards $100, $150, $200, $250, $500.
