What model is your lappy? If you go into Device Manager, what is the condition of your network adapter? Does it indicate it is working properly?

Does your laptop have a switch to enable wireless? A lot of the new ones do. Do you have a connection icon in the lower right of the screen that identifies available networks and allows you to connect to one? What does the manual say about enabling wireless?

Now that the peregrin falcon nesting season is in full swing I have noticed a problem when viewing one of the falcon sites I frequent. It happens in IE7 and not in Fire Fox so there must be something turned off or not installed that has eluded me to date. The motherboard is: ASUS A7N8-LA I believe. Don't see a video card---only onboard video port. Does this mean we will have to replace the motherboard? You could try installing a video card to see if your problem is resolved. If you have one or know someone with a spare, pop it in, load the drivers and see.
