Hello! If you look on your motherboard somewhere there should be 2 or 3 plug type that says USB_01 USB_02 that are sometimes yellow. These are used for your front usb ports on your case. Now look for any kind of wires that have many pins, as sometimes the cords are marked USB. Take a look and see as maybe the shop forgot to hook the front usbs up. Good luck Sceeter32

Well I just noticed this afternoon when I plugged in the power to my laptop and noticed that my little recharge light was on when turning the laptop on. Once I goto the desktop I noticed the battery icon in sys tray was a little low. Sceeter32

Hello everyone! A few days ago I bought a new laptop and I just want to get your opinion if this is normal or not. The laptop is an HP pavilion just look at my specs below. When my laptop is off and unplugged, and the next day I go to used it with power plugged in the battery has discharge about 10 to 15 percent. Does this mean the battery is defective? Thanks Sceeter32

It sound like the new hard drive is a dud. I would send it back and exchange it for one that works. Sceeter32

No Power To Desktop Computer
sceeter32 replied to sceeter32's topic in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP
I upgrade my computer that day and I should have try the new psu with the old motherboard before installing the new mother board. -
Hello martymas Right now I have 2 sata hard drives, but now I think my problem is that I have 1 sata 1 and 1 sata II and using the sata 1 hd for my o/s. I know my board supports SATA II drives, but maybe its the sata 1 drive thats giving the beep errors. This is my mother board. Only one IDE plug as I have my cd rom & dvd burner running off the IDE Sceeter32

this may be the problem 1 long 1 short: DRAM or M/B error by the way, nice system :-) Thanks shanenin it's more two short beeps. At the post screen there is no error code shown. It seems that once I install the motherboard driver cd that came with the motherboard thats when it started acting up. I'm not 100% sure though. Thanks again Sceeter32

It's A Award bios I just shut the computer off and checked to see if everything is seated properly and everything is fine. I then turned it on and got a weird distorted short beep and one short beep after that. The computer boots up fine and runs fine. Sceeter32 The beeps mean something. I would go to one of the sites we listed and check-up on what the beeps mean. Well on that site it really don't show the beeps I'm looking for. Sceeter32
