    Ya I forgot to mention after getting those errors in the post screen I just reinstalled windows vista HP and now the pc works fine. My father goes everywhere on the net. He downloads music from frostwire and was noticing his computer was acting strange lately. I was rebooting and at the post screen these red lettering came up and said something like: If you are trying to overclock, your settings may harm your computer. to fix this problem look in your bios to fix. Press DEL key to enter Bios settings. I entered the bios and check the setting and everything looked fine, so just in case I went to set default settings and saved the setting. I Then reinstalled Vista. After the reinstall his computer rebooted a couple of times on its own, but after that the computer runs great.

    A Mac OS X attack that leaves no trace

    "Vincenzo Iozzo, an Italian security researcher, says he's discovered a new way to inject executable code directly into the memory of a Mac OS X machine without leaving any trace behind. That would make detection of an attack considerably more difficult.

    Attackers normally leave files on the hard disk, such as their own code, and virus scanners can spot these. Iozzo's technique could be used to run a binary file entirely in the memory area of the program under attack, so that no change is made to the hard disk. It could also be used on an iPhone, which after all runs a modified version of Mac OS X. Iozzo intends to present his discovery at the Black Hat security conference in February, and then publish a sample program written in C for Mac OS X 10.5."

    Wow what's this world coming to! This worlds going to hell. Does anyone have anything better to do than to attack computers! I just don't get it and really don't see the fun in it lol.

    Try going to Wimi.com, and it'll instantly tell you your IP, write that down.

    Then download Remote Desktop for Mac, enter the IP address of your PC, and connect.

    Btw, your computer obviously needs to be turned on (not on stand by or sleep).

    Thanks detective sims. My other computers are on and not asleep sometimes my mac sees my pc but most of the time it doesn't. Only my pc see the mac and can trasfer data pc to mac but hardly never from mac to pc. The funny thing is my mac alway see my fathers computer, but never lets me access it. Is there a setting in windows or mac that I'm forgetting? I set allow file sharing on pc & mac and gave all pc's a workgroup name. All my pc's are connected through my network and read and write on all of them sept for my mac. I tried tutorials on the net but seems to be differnet setting than OSX 10.5.6.

    The sad part is that its not the ultimate version..That is a marketing trick.. its missing the best parts.. no hyper-V (a built at the Kernel level Hyper-V is the part that MS was bragging about, at there side conferences they have every month in Redmond. oh it has media center.. media center, its the same as the Vista version. what is so ultimate about this version??

    maybe home ultimate??

    Plus Too many versions confuse people.. Look at Linux for an example of that. They should have a home and a Professional version.. That is it.. and I Think that is too much.

    This is my thought..

    this is Vista with all the service packs already in it.. Call it beta and everyone goes, well this is better than vista and its just beta.. Guess what it is Vista.. They just changed the name and changed a few graphics.. added fixes

    But in the end its still Vista.. but MS knows Vista is a dammaged Name. That is why they are rebranding..

    so when Windows 7 (back to numbers ?? in what universe is this the 7th os they have released.. ) is released and all the people go buy it, Microsoft marketing will be laughing. because they made you pay for the fixes they would have rolled into Vista. Man I wish I had their marketing people.. to get people to pay for what they all ready paid for, and like it... Brilliant..

    I hear ya! kind of a way thats why I bought my self a mac. Apple doesn't charge heavy prices to buy the next version of OSX as I see it paying around $129.99 for an os is a fair price to pay. Like you said window 7 is vista I agree with that, and Microsoft is gonna make there users pay out more money for there mistakes. Once Windows 7 is released to the public, vista will be left behind only being a year old and I see thats a waste of money. It's Microsoft's fault for making vista so crappy for some of there users. Consumers has to fork out more of there hard earned dollars to buy the OS that Microsoft should have released in the first place. I think that Microsoft should give Window 7 for free since there the ones that screwed up vista cause they were to much in a hurry and careless to do the job right.

    Hello all ^_^ The more I play with Windows 7 the more I like it. I just hope that when it come out to buy that Microsoft doesn't bloat it like they did Vista. Vista for me works great, but has its temperaments at times but hey no operating systems are perfect after all! Can we actually believe Microsoft actually got it right for once and have the best selling OS? I am so curious if theres gonna be many versions on Window 7 like vista, but I have a feeling that I already answered my own question lol as this betas called Windows 7 ultimate. The price is what I'm after and I bet it's gonna be high in numbers. I guess I'll have some more fun with this beta and post back if I find something new.

    Hello everyone I just installed Windows 7 and I have to say WOW it's way faster than vista so far. Little glitchy but what do ya expect lol! What really ticks me off is once window 7 come out of beta and in final release, and it becomes big where everyones happy and excited what is everyone gonna do with vista? Waste of money to change from vista to 7.
